Rhonda Delaney ~ Are you Exhibiting the Behaviors of Insanity?
Sick and tired of being Sick and Tired? Ready to make changes and STOP THE INSANITY? Yep doing the same thing over and over again like you've been doing IS the definition of insanity! One of my persistent INSANITY moves is this expectation that other's in my life are mind readers. They should just KNOW how I FEEL about any subject under the sun. (thereby not taking action or speaking words that may cause me discomfort) I shouldn't actually have to talk to them and share how I feel or what I believe, they should just KNOW! Come on, you know, OSMOSIS!It's a thing, right? Not so much with humans.  We can get good at making educated guesses but in the end we never get it close to right UNTIL we have a two sided conversation with another human. (me, myself and I conversations don't count!) This week on the podcast I chat about our INSANE behavioral tendencies that keep us in an untenable loop. I've designed my upcoming Workshop Series to provide 3 Behavioral changes that break the INSANE cycle and get you moving towards your ultimate goalYes, you will be uncomfortable. (buck up buttercup, you CAN do hard things) No, you won't die. (puleeze, no drama allowed here) Yes, you will know greater freedom, success and empowerment over time. (who doesn't want more Freedom/Flexibility) Business owner or employee leader, becoming more mindful of how your behaviors effect outcomes is ALWAYS a positive.www.rhondadelaney.com/workshopJul 6, 8 & 11 - 2pm PST

Rhonda Delaney ~ Your Voice, How and What you say...it Matters
This week on the podcast I'm chatting about Speaking Up. Having the conversations and asking the questions. When you use open ended questions you invite the opportunity for conversation. Not simply a yes/no response that goes nowhere. Develop your go to questions that will illicit at least a sentence response and sometimes a paragraph. (for the really effective questions you may get an epistle response!) You want your team member to elaborate, to really share their thoughts, ideas, perspectives. Understanding them better helps ensure you make decisions that put them in the best spot to succeed.Clarity for all is the goal! Do your Words and Actions help them believe they are seen, heard and appreciated? Take a minute to reflect on the last few days...were your questions open ended? Do you feel you know people better? If not, make asking open ended questions a priority today! Have fun, explore their world and show them yours.

Rhonda Delaney ~ Feelings...Show them, Feel them, Share them
This week  I'm chatting about embracing our Feelings in our leadership role. So often FEELINGS get such a bad rap. They're viewed as a negative. TOO EMOTIONAL! When really, feelings or identifying feelings is simply a way for us to categorize our experience. You AND your team need to get comfortable expressing your feelings. Sharing your feelings is part of SHOWING UP, as you. Opening up so your team can mirror that behavior and open up themselves, results in trusting you'll handle their feelings with care, kindness and appreciation. Many I worked with said, "You're so confident, you always say what you think and how you feel" little did they know there was more left unsaid than said. Often as leaders, sharing our feelings/thoughts is a weighted decision. Is this necessary? Will this advance our value/purpose? Can this positively impact the situation? Much as we'd like to simply blurt out our feelings, emotional intelligence is about managing and mastering the dissemination and impact.

Rhonda Delaney ~ Do they know WHO you are? Show up as You!
As leaders, we FIRST have to know ourselves so we can COMMUNICATE that to our team so that they UNDERSTAND who we are.  They can't trust us if they don't know us. They can't know us if we don't open up and share ourselves with them. There is no ONE RIGHT WAY to approach leadership. There is a RIGHT WAY for you and ONLY YOU can determine that. Sure, there are foundational truths to leadership, best/better practices, the must haves/dos BUT your unique take on it is what sets you apart and fuels your success. Are you showing up as YOU? Over the next 5 weeks I'll be doing a podcast series that will help prep you for the FREE Live Interactive Workshop Series - Show UP, Speak UP, Shut UP   www.rhondadelaney.com/waitlist It doesn't matter if you're an introvert, ambivert or extrovert, YOU can be an inspiring leader as YOU.No need to pretend to be somebody else. 25 Ways to BEinterested - Workbook & Challenge.
