Benjamin Crump is a civil rights attorney who has represented the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, along with many other notable cases.Ben grew up in Lumberton, NC and was raised by his mother and great grandmother, affectionately known as Ma Mittie. It wasn’t until Ben was nine years old and he was bused over to the white neighborhood’s school that he realized he was poor. It was also at this point that he determined he would become a lawyer.
