Welcome to the relaunch of Korda’s Thinking Tackle Podcast. In the return of the Korda Podcast, we welcome our new host, Rich Stewart. In his first Korda podcast appearance, Rich welcomed Danny Fairbrass to the studio. In the first of a mini-series that will follow Danny’s early syndicate fishing life, the pair sat down and discussed Danny’s time fishing on Mercers Park.

Back in August 1992, Jason Hayward caught the attention of the UK carp fishing scene by landing one of the country's best-known and exclusive carp, The Black Mirror. Following this remarkable result, he has gone on to catch numerous other highly prized carp from a variety of different waters, such as The Big Lin from The Caravan Park. During this podcast, he shares some previously untold captures, while also revealing some of the secrets to his undoubted success.

On this episode of the Korda podcast, we have carp fishing legend Danny Fairbrass, The Thrive Programme coach Rob Kelly and Tackle Guru brand manager and experienced match angler, Adam Rooney. In this show, we looked at the importance of a positive angling mindset. Mark is known for his lovable and personal character who isn’t afraid to strongly voice opinions. During the podcast, he talked about overcoming personal adversities and he also shared some hilarious stories from his life as one of the UK’s best-known fish farmers.

Gaz Fareham is no stranger to the UK carp fishing scene, having caught some of the country’s best-known fish from some of the most pressured venues around. Arguably his most famous capture was Heather, from Yateley's Car Park Lake. In this podcast, Gaz reflected on some of his best-known captures and the demands of targeting these specific carp. We also talked about his recent success and his filming projects with Cypography. Plus, he also discussed Sub Surface and what plans he has for the future.

David Moore is a highly respected Yorkshire-based carp angler, who has an uncanny knack for catching some of the biggest and most prized carp around. One of Dave's career highlights was capturing the Caravan Park's Linear not just once but on three separate occasions. During the Podcast, Dave delved into depths about his fascinating angling life. He shared information and knowledge not commonly talked about in carp fishing, while he also relived many fascinating carp fishing tails along the way!

In 2000, Martin Clarke famously caught the second biggest brace in UK carp fishing in history. The fish weighed 45.08 and 46.02 respectively and were captured from Summerleaze in Berkshire. During this podcast, Martin shared his extensive carp fishing knowledge and his meticulous approach towards his angling. We also go in-depth about rigs, where he explained the concept behind some of his most successful ideas. He also tells the story of two potentially record-breaking carp that avoided capture!

In this one-off episode of Korda’s Thinking Tackle Podcast, Simon Pitt is joined by podcast producer, Toby Clarke. Simon and Toby looked back at over 55 episodes from the show, and they discussed many of the podcast’s biggest moments. After much deliberation between the two of them, they dug out some old clips and came up with their top 5 unmissable podcast moments!

On this episode of Korda’s Thinking Tackle Podcast is big carp angler, Darrell Peck and Korda sponsored angler, Oscar Thornton. The brand-new Thinking Tackle OD series 4 has recently kicked off. Darrell and Oscar paired up in episode 3 to tackle Embryo’s Cables Lake, and their efforts were rewarded with an epic surprise! Oscar reflected on his Thinking Tackle debut with Darrell, and the challenges this posed. While Darrell told us more about the new series in general.

Dave Levy has had extensive successes from a magnitude of different waters. Staring from his early angling experiences fishing, Gloucester Park in Basildon, right up to fishing some of the country's best-known waters such as Horton, Sutton, and the Essex Manor. Furthermore, while filming The Great Escape for RidgeMonkey, Dave landed an enormous 88lb mirror carp live on film from Jezero Sumbar in Croatia. During the podcast, we discuss the methods and tactics used in some of his most significant catches.

James Armstrong has been a passionate angler since his early childhood. Because of his fishing obsession, he has built a highly successful career centred around his fishing media background. James's has caught an impressive array of carp over the years, including the Park Lake Common, at over 53 pounds, and the stunning linear from Eggets Lake. On this episode of the podcast, Jimmie shares his most recent fishing success with us while also recounting some of his amusing anecdotes from his Korda days.

Brett White has fished extensively both in the UK and in Europe. In 2002 he narrowly lost out on breaking the British carp record following the capture of Two Tone from Mid Kent Fisheries, Conningbrook Lake. The fished weighed in at 60lb 9oz, missing out on the record by just 7 ounces! He also has a house in Mequinenza, on the banks of the River Ebro in Spain. His knowledge of this river stretch has led him, and other people to catch some monstrous carp and catfish!

On this episode of Korda’s, The Thinking Tackle Podcast is Danny Fairbrass and The Thrive Programme coach, Rob Kelly. In this podcast, the pair discuss the importance of mental health awareness and how to cure PTSD. PTSD, or Post-traumatic stress disorder, is an anxiety disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events. Danny and Rob wanted to produce this podcast to share vital information for those who might be suffering and seeking help for this condition.

John Baker is one of the most respected and highly influential bait specialists around today. Since the 1970s, John's baits and ingredients have accounted for numerous specimen-sized carp, substantiating his reputation as one of the most informed and knowledgeable people on the subject today. John's fishing experience is vast and varied, having fished for carp on some of the country's most influential waters such as Savay, Redmire, Ashley pool, Darenth, and Harrow.

Dave Finn is a Korda sponsored angler who in 2019, landed a fish known as Scruffy Bob at a lake record weight of 61lb 12oz from Wellington Country Park. As well as the lake record, he has caught many of the lake's impressive stock, including a fish known as Willow. Dave used his natural entertaining abilities to full effect during the covid lockdown of 2020, by hosting the Dave Finn Carp Quiz. The Thursday evening quizzes became a must-watch for many carp anglers seeking solitude from the pandemic.

Ash Bradbury is the owner of Tails Up Baits and runs Ashbury Fisheries in Hatfield Peverel, Essex. He also played an integral part in introducing adjustable zigs into carp fishing, an ingenious and highly efficient method that has proved successful for many anglers. Ash has caught many notable carp including, Dippy from Snake Pit, Plodder from Tolpits and Annie, from the Essex Manor. In this podcast, Ash shared some zig fishing tips, his approach to tackling small waters and much more.

In this exclusive episode of the podcast, Danny Fairbrass gave a vivid insight into his recent battle with melanoma skin cancer. He was also joined by his life coach, Rob Kelly, one of the founders of the revolutionary psychological training programme, The Thrive Programme. Danny arranged this impromptu podcast to raise awareness surrounding the seriousness of the sun. He hopes to encourage people to wear appropriate clothing, regularly use factor 50 sun cream and most importantly, respect the sun.
