When the pandemic began, our "KNX Hero of the Week" Natalie Flores founded Nourish LA in her backyard, to help families who were suddenly without food due to the shutdowns. Fruit, bread, eggs and more came from urban farmers, restaurants and grocery stores. Rafael Stoneman, his dog Leo and the team at the Gold Coast Veterans Foundation are helping veterans across Southern California get the support they need! The Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue is a nonprofit that places hundreds of dogs in need, both domestically and overseas, into forever homes. Tycanne Arceri is their international coordinator. Her job is to organize the welcome party at LAX, after dogs are saved from bad situations overseas. A few months after Audra DiPadova Wilford's young son was diagnosed with cancer in 2011, she and her husband started a non-profit called MaxLove Project. It began as a way to help other families deal with their own heart-wrenching news, but its now grown into a full-support, global organization that helps families with mental wellness, evidence-based integrative health, and culinary medicine. One hero, saving another. Hector Gonzalez of Norwalk was in the right place at the right time, back in April. A horrific crash on the 105 Freeway in Downey had occurred right in front of him, as he was driving home. He quickly became a Good Samaritan, and saved the life of an injured CHP officer who was trapped inside a burning CHP cruiser. #KNXHero

Dr. Reggie Jones is back where it all started! He was born at Dignity Health California Hospital Medical Center, and now he works there as a trauma surgeon. He's a KNX Hero in many ways! He saves lives, he mentors young people, he helps former gang members reintegrate into society. He's also a dad and a devoted husband, who is passionate about giving back to his community!
