Episode 13 - Planning a Late Season Backcountry Trip
The time of white-capped peaks and shredding pow is right around the corner, but there is still a little time to get out on foot before the white stuff forces us into cross-country skis or snowshoes. This episode focuses on preparing for the challenges of late season fall/early winter hiking and backpacking. Water, clothing and gear are all covered as I plan a trip into Henry Coe State Park. In other news, KCO has been invited to join the Reno Viola Outdoors Radio Network, a web-based 24-hour stream dedicated mostly to fishing since its inception. Reno is looking to branch out into other outdoor areas of interest and KCO will be one of the first of these branches. I'm excited to be joining the WRVORadio.com team and am looking forward to being invited to their headquarters in Ontario in the not-to-distant future. Wink. Wink.
