Dr. Debora Hooper hails straight from the Hip Hop world! In her early teens, she became known as Queen M.C. Debbie D, one of the first female rappers from the Bronx, NY. (She is the first hip hop artist with an earned Doctorate). Possessing a passion for youth, Dr. Hooper served as a Youth Supervisor and Associate Minister, for 14 years, at the Pilgrim Cathedral of Harlem under the late Bishop Charles J. Reed. In 2004, she became installed as the Pastor of the Greater Works Worship Center, which currently operates as a virtual church.
Dr. Hooper has been featured on several television and radio platforms such as The Word Network, TCT Network, and Urban Broadcast Media. Her work has also been highlighted in The Amsterdam News and The New York Times. As a writer, she has been a columnist for Harvest Magazine, The Christian Observer and Preachingwoman.com.
