We are your hosts Richard And Sherica. and we are here to uplift and encourage everyone to keep living their blessed life. So stay tuned.   RICHARD:  Hey! What’s going on everybody. SHERICA:  Hello Everyone!  In this episode we are going to talk about being an unashamed Christian.  It’s okay to love God out loud.  Amen. And it’s okay to love and forgive everyone just how God loves and forgives us.  He blesses us with everything.  Lord we thank You. We welcome you all to join us here as we study the word of God, share our own personal life experiences, discuss some highlights from the well-known Faith Preacher Kenneth E. Hagin’s book titled “I Believe In Visions” & Lillie Leonardi’s book titled “In the Shadow of a Badge” she is a former FBI employee.  RICHARD:  Yes, today we are having Bible Study on the Air Waves.  Our topic today is unashamed Christian.  What does it mean to be an unashamed Christian?  Well it means you are not ashamed to be a Christian out in public. You know this means that you are not scared to show that you are souled out for Christ.  On that note let’s look at the scripture Luke 9:26  Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. This scripture is about being ashamed of the gospel and how God will respond to someone who is ashamed.  And today we will be talking about Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.  You know we all have seen people who Aren’t ashamed of being a Christian or to talk about the goodness of God. You know the people who aren’t afraid to say God Bless You in public and give everyone their praise report in the break room at work. Real talk some of the guys I know, have told me they don’t feel strong or tough when they talk about God in public, they would rather talk about going to the gym.  When you live for the Lord you are living–when you are not living for the Lord you are just going through the motions. You know here is a prime example of how one is not living for the Lord.  I have been in a situation out and about around other Christians and I remember saying God Bless you. And people would act shocked Someone even told me that I couldn’t do that at work.  I’m like so you don’t want me to talk about God.  Would you rather me talk about the devil?  SHERICA:  WHOA!  Did you say that for real? RICHARD:  No, but I thought about it.  It’s easy for someone to say things like the devil is not going to steal my joy.  Or they say the devil is a lie. Then if you were to say God causes me to triumph in all things… and you might get some Amens or some eye rolls.  Ha! Ha! It’s okay. SHERICA:  Oh! Okay. But I understand, I’ve heard and seen this before too.  I can relate to this story.  RICHARD:  You know me, I will pause a conversation before I start eating my food while in the dfac AND pray over my food.  It shows a strength of character not being ashamed to pray in public and to give thanks to God in all things. Just because I was in the defac with my soldiers didn’t mean I was going to stop being a Christian. You know in the defac people would be talking about all kinds of things, but if you said anything about God you can bet someone would have something to say. SHERICA:  Are you talking about the dining facility—while you were deployed?   RICHARD:   Yes, I would pray over my food and the people at my table or near it would stop talking or at least lower their voices until I was done, out of respect. but there was always one person or group of people that would go out of their way to make noises or talk really loud just to show that they were not going to be respectful as I prayed. Someone would always challenge my faith in God, but It didn’t bother me though because I didn’t focus on them I knew they were doing it on purpose to get a negative reaction out of me so they could say “but you’re a Christian” SHERICA:  That’s why we press on towards the prize that God has set before our lives. Amen. RICHARD:   That’s right sweetheart. and I would pray at the range too. Right before we would roll out to the range, I would take a knee and pray: Lord please let everyone keep their weapon pointed down range and don’t let any stray bullets come my way. Oh…and please make sure everyone else is ok too. Amen. SHERICA:  Ha! Ha!  Yes, that’s serious.  You know it’s okay to talk about TV shows, and our favorite places to eat and so forth.  But that moment when someone brings up the goodness of God—sometimes it’s not received well in public.  That’s alright–All is well.  Praise God. RICHARD:   Amen.  You know, we watch a lot of sports on TV.  And have you noticed how both teams, or individuals, or even the coaches always give God the glory for their victories and getting them where they are? SHERICA:  Yes, I have. RICHARD:  Okay. I have had this same conversation with some of the fellas but when I would bring up the fact that God blessed the person or team, some people would dismiss this and say that the person was born with talent. And when you ask them where do you think the talent came from they would change the subject or say that science and training, but when you ask them where they think the science came from, they want to name a scientist and look at me funny when I tell them that God created science. I find it interesting that the athletes would profess their faith out in the open and people would head nod and support them, but the moment someone would talk about God in their own life some people would just change the subject or be overly skeptical. I like it when people give God the glory. I’m like Amen. Praise God! We are not ashamed of the Gospel. SHERICA:  Amen.  We are not ashamed of the Gospel.  In Luke chapter 12 verse 9 says: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. Wow! before angels of God.  I remember when I first read a story online about a former FBI employee who talked about seeing angels guarding the horrible plane crash site in Pennsylvania on 9/11.  In the article, that I read it stated that the former FBI employee Lillie, had seen lights and angels flying around the scene.  I wanted to know more about this, so I purchased her book. After reading her book titled, In the Shadow of a Badge it helped shed more light on her vision at the horrific event in Shanksville, PA. I just want to say here:   May God continue to bless and comfort the hearts of the families, first responders, and loved ones who have lost a friend or family member on that horrific day.  I believe her story could give someone some comfort by knowing that God’s angels were on the scene and ensuring that their loved ones were being brought to Him.  Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and this is found in 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 8 and Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Matthew chapter 5 verse 8 This isn’t the first time that I have heard of people who have said they’ve seen angels.  I’ve heard stories like this before from people I know very well and trust.  What I heard was that they have seen angels flying during and after funerals and circling around their homes.  What do you think about that, Babe? RICHARD:  Wow! That is amazing! She saw angels. What a blessing to know that even in the mist of that horrible tragedy there is a sense of peace knowinig that the angles were brining God’s people home to Him. In the Bible it evens says we are assigned angles when we are born In Mathew 18:10  “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven and we have ministering angels who bring in our harvest-Blessings! This can be found in Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” SHERICA:  Amen.  I’m thankful for God’s protection He alone is our refuge and safety and He will send His angels to protect us and this is found in Psalm chapter 91 verse 2 & 11  The book of Psalms is about God’s Protection. RICHARD:  I was wondering do you think there were angels in that –one part in the book that helped Kenneth E. Hagin. what do you think babe? SHERICA:   Wow!  That’s a good question, babe.  I believe so. RICHARD:  Y’all got to get this book if you haven’t already.  This book has so much to offer and can help answer some question that Christians have. Man let me tell you—I couldn’t put that book down.  It starts out a little sad but then it gets deep. Ha! Ha! SHERICA:  yes! It sure does.  Its’s an amazing book and I believe it’s a life changer, too. There are so many lessons to be learned and Kenneth Hagin takes the time to develop the lessons and relates them to his life. His main teaching is about Faith and what it is to have faith.  In the book titled “I Believe In Visions” he talks about his journey and how he grew his faith to overcome challenges in his life.  And this book also shows how he became the well-known and respected faith preacher who is known around the world.  RICHARD:  After reading his book, one see’s the important of faith and how to apply it to every aspect of your life even when you are out in public. SHERICA:  It is important as Christians to not be ashamed of the Gospel out in public.  Amen.  We are the light of the world and when we are at our jobs, in the grocery store, in the park with our children, or with family and friends we are to be that light. You know, some people never intend to go to church, so it is important for us to share the Gospel and to live Godly out loud. RICHARD:  Amen.  In Matthew 5: 16 it says, “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven”. So, it is important for us to be an example of the goodness of Christ. There is nothing in this world that is more fulfilling or satisfying than doing God’s work. He wants us to share and spread His word as a matter of fact Jesus told the disciples to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” and that is in Mark 16:15. We are not supposed to be quiet about the goodness of God or what He has done for us. We are supposed to share that good new to everyone. The light chases away the darkness by shining. Christians are the light. SHERICA:  Amen.  Let’s all keep shining!  please be sure to read the books by Kenneth E. Hagin and Lillie Leonardi. We are not affiliated with the books, we just wanted to share some good reads.  Before we close out our podcast, we would like to say Happy Birthday to the following group members and family. RICHARD:  Happy Birthday  SHERICA:  Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday to my Dad -Harvey, my nephew LJ, and Gospel peace.  The Lord’s goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. Amen.  RICHARD:  Amen. And we want to share a song by the worship leader and songwriter: Tim Hageland whose music we enjoy.  The name of the song is: Your Love’s Forever And it can be found on iTunes & Apple Music. Follow this artist on Facebook and checkout his website TimHageland.com SHERICA:  This song is amazing and it expresses the Love that God has for us: unfailing and everlasting love. Yes, God’s love is Forever.  Thank you for letting us feature this wonderful song, Tim!  RICHARD:  Amen.  Please subscribe to our podcast and be sure to visit King and Queen Christian Podcast Facebook group to join the conversation and visit Queen of my blessed home.com to access the show notes. SHERICA:  thank you for tuning in.  Until next time.   RICHARD & SHERICA:  Keep living your Blessed life.        The post Episode 3: Unashamed Christian appeared first on Queen of My Blessed Home, LLC.

Rick do you remember how we had to find out if we got our assignment through the pay phone at AIT?  RICHARD:  yes 1-800-FYI-EPMD I’ll never forget that number. SHERICA:  You know what—we didn’t even get that number from our drill sergeants. RICHARD:  we didn’t either. We heard it from the hold overs. Just in case someone is wondering what a holdover is: The hold overs were the soldiers who didn’t graduate ait because they failed a test, or a pt test or didn’t get their security clearance or just got in trouble. They weren’t a trainee and had more freedom but they lived in the day room in our bays.  Every cycle had them. And every soldier in the United States Army knows what a holdover is and didn’t want to be one.  SHERICA:  you’re right I didn’t want to be a holdover either. I remember feeling bad for them. Everybody at my AIT were handing out  the phone number too. It originally came from our platoon sergeant.  I remember the first three times I called that number—I didn’t have an assignment. Then one day I called the number again like 5 hours before formation was held.  And it was the same day our drill sergeants where going to give us our official assignment orders. I finally got the recording on the payphone saying that I was assigned to Fort Polk, LA. I took a deep breath and tears started pouring down my face.  RICHARD:ha!  SHERICA:  I couldn’t believe that I was not going on the east coast  RICHARD: dreams shattered. SHERICA: yes they were, babe. Ha! Ha!  I had signed up for anywhere on the east coast. RICHARD:  you got the east side of Louisiana.  Ha!  SHERICA:  you right! I did. I kept thinking I didn’t know anybody from fort Polk and I didn’t plan for this.  Thankfully I got my crying out of the way before I got my official military assignment from my drill Sergeant. RICHARD:  I called that number that tells you your duty assignment everyday but didn’t find out where I was going until three days before I graduated AIT when my drill SGT handed me orders that said Fort Polk . I never heard of Fort Polk before I got my orders. My battle Wilson also got Polk so I was glad for that. I thought that I was going to be close to New Orleans.  How wrong I was. I wasn’t ready.  It was so bad that my hardest drill SGT called me into his office and apologized for my assignment. He said no one ever wants to get stationed there. He took off his round brown which is the drill sergeant hat put a hand on my shoulder and said “ hang in there brother, don’t judge the army off your first assignment “. Talk about being shook. Lol SHERICA: ha! Ha!, I got to go home right after training for two weeks for hometown recruiting because I signed up for this before I went to basic training.  I went back home to Virginia and I got to spend time with my Mom & Dad where they gave me words of encouragement about my assignment and everything I accomplished so far. I also worked at the same army recruiting office where I enlisted into the army. I had to call people from the roledex and ask them if they wanted to join the army and I called some of my old classmates to see how they were doing and asked them if they wanted to join the army.  RICHARD:  ha! Ha! Man if I would have known about that.  I would have went home instead I went straight to Fort Polk.  I didn’t even know about hometown recruiting until the end of ait. I wish I would have known because I would have definitely signed up.  SHERICA:  ha! my recruiter told me about it and I made sure I signed up for it. Thank God.  Well my two week vacation came to a quick end. I’m enroute to Fort Polk in my Class A’s  RICHARD:  ha! Ha. SHERICA:  I didn’t get the memo that I could wear civilian clothes and I was high speed on official travel. Ha! Ha! So since I decided to save money and arrive to my duty station by greyhound  Ha! I had time to learn all the words to the  popular songs back then. Whew! That was a lonnnng ride.  I arrived to Fort Polk and I signed in at the reception center.  Soon after that I  got oriented to my unit and I got my barracks assignment.  I met my My barracks roommate and She went to basic training and AIT with me.  we both were happy to see each other again. RICHARD: I flew in a little crop duster plane from Lawton Oklahoma to Alexandria Louisiana. From there I took a greyhound to Fort Polk.  It was night and i thought I  was in the bayou for real. Me and Wilson were the only people on the bus.  when I got to Polk I went straight to the reception there. I was with Wilson because neither of us did hometown recruiting.  We got put in a bay at the reception center and told to report to the main building in the morning after we were given some linen for our bunks. When we were done with in processing our sponsors came and got us and took us to our section chiefs who brought us to our platoon SGT’s and our first SGT’s. The unit was so different from what I expected. My 1SG had everyone in the Btry shook and when my platoon SGT introduced me to him he just asked me if I was a dud.  SHERICA:  ha! Ha! RICHARD: I said no and he said you better not be we ain’t got no time for duds. Being field artillery his words were a bit more colorful. After that meeting I was put in a barracks room by myself and the senior SPC of the building came and brought me to the bbq that my unit was having. I was instantly made family.  SHERICA: awe that’s so nice. After about a week of  adjusting to the army life and decorating my barracks room area. I finally had free time were I was able to hangout with my barracks roommate  and another coworker from my unit.  Everyone decided we were going to get ready for the Physical Training test and go run on the track. As I stepped outside my barracks room I noticed a group of people outside and this guy who kept on looking in my direction. I said to my coworkers that I think I know that guy and he’s from VA and she said no he’s from Florida. I shrugged it off and said he looks familiar. She insisted that he was not from VA and we all walked over to the track.  Before we got on the track the same guy from the barracks area introduces himself to me—yes it was Richard. He introduced himself to me and I introduced myself to him.  and my colleagues were waving at me and calling for me to join them on the track. RICHARD: yeah me and my homeboys were getting ready to hit the track when I saw you standing there and You were the center of my world. I was talking my way out of going running and instantly changed my mind when I saw you heading towards the track. I caught up to you and introduced myself and you did the same. Your friends were calling you and you went on your run. I waited for my homeboys but kept you in sight the whole time. After that every time I saw you in passing I would find a reason to talk to you all the way up until you deployed to Bosnia. I couldn’t wait for you to get back because I wanted you in my life.   y’all I didn’t know that a man was suppose to find his wife like in Proverbs 18:22 I was used to females approaching me. When Sherica  finally got back to Fort Polk I remember seeing her walking up to her barracks. I ran over to her reintroduced myself and asked for her phone number and if she would come to the barracks bbq with me the next day.  She said yes and told me her number and I told her I didn’t need to write it down. we said our goodbyes and I ran to my barracks room to write down her phone number. Y’all I’m bad with remembering phone numbers but I remembered hers and wrote it down as I got in my room.  SHERICA:  I had no idea that you liked me like that. Ha! It’s funny to me because I remember seeing him a lot before I left for Bosnia and he would speak to me in passing and he  was  such a gentleman.  RICHARD:  thanks Babe. getting Back to the BBQ The next day you came to the bbq with me and we have been together every since.  I kept telling Sherica I was going to marry her throughout the time we were dating.  She would just smile at me.  SHERICA:  and you proposed to me after we were together for six months and it was on valentines day. It was so nice I remember he had flowers and they were red roses. He also had brought balloons to my barracks room. It was so beautiful. We went out to eat that night as usual.  RICHARD:  and at the end of the day,  i got down on one knee and asked you to marry me. I was nervous because I didn’t know if you were going to say—yes! and she said yes. Praise God.  SHERICA:  yes I did. So Fort Polk wasn’t bad at all because we had each other and we were together all the time.  RICHARD:  yes we were. So I know y’all want to know— when we finally realized that we had met each other before. It was after three months of us being engaged, I think it was three months. we were talking about jobs we had in high school.  SHERICA: yesss it was three months, babe. RICHARD:  yeah, we were chilling and talking about jobs we had during our high school days. I talked about working at Burger King and Popeyes and she mentioned working at Hardee’s and McDonalds. And I was shocked because it hit me that I saw you before and I said wait you worked at Hardee’s.  I said I  remember you at Hardee’s.  SHERICA:  and I got all excited. I was so hype. I was like—no way —you were the guy in the car with your Mom. Ha! I can’t believe this. I knew I’ve seen you before. It was amazing and I was like, wow!!  we are meant to be. I knew that God had made all of this happen for us.  RICHARD:  yes He did. we had a military style wedding and I made sure my unit supplied the sabers as we walked out of the Dragoon Chapel at Fort Polk, LA. SHERICA:  yes, you did and your battles wrote on our car too. Ha! Ha! Just married. It was awesome. Both of our units were there too. It was amazing! God gives us the desires of our heart and that’s in Psalm chapter 37 verse 4 and He also puts desires in our hearts and that’s in Philippians chapter 2 verse 12 wow!! This story still gives me chills to this day. It’s all about having Faith In God. And knowing God has a plan for your life. I love when the Lord said, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future in Jeremiah 29:11.  God is Good!!  RICHARD:  and twenty years later we are still here and God keeps right on Blessing us. Praise God!  SHERICA:  Amen. Lord we thank you.  Before we close out our podcast, I would like to encourage someone to Have Faith in God and believe His Word. He will give you all that your heart desires and put desires in your heart, too.  Just trust Him. RICHARD:  Amen.  and be sure to join us in the group.  The Lord has richly blessed us and we like to be a blessing to others. Also we had announced in the group that we were doing a giveaway for $100 as a celebration for reaching over 100 group members well we have surpassed that now —thanks to Kingsley who is the winner. We will be doing another $100 giveaway when we reach 500 group members and make the announcement in Episode 3. SHERICA:  Amazing!! I’m so excited about the giveaways and having more people in the group.  Praise God. Please make sure y’all watch for the next $100 giveaway announcement that will be posted in the group when we reach 500 members. thank you for tuning in. Episode 1: Speaking Things Into Existence Part I
In the beginning God spoke to the earth and said let there be light. How wonderful, right? God wants us to use our faith in Him to speak things into existence. How so?  In this podcast episode of Speaking Things Into Existence, two US Army Veterans, Richard and Sherica, explain how they have been successful in applying God’s Word to their own personal lives. Tune in to get the details that has helped them receive the plan God had in store for their lives. Become a Patron! Here is a little back ground on me: I am the priest and King of my home, a husband, and father.  But I didn’t start out knowing or understanding what the priest of my home meant. I didn’t always know my role as a priest of my home or what it was to live by faith. I thought attending church every once in a while, and praying sometimes was good enough. Ha. But my wife knew about faith—praise God. She really introduced me to living by faith, and it was because of her that I decided to go to Dave Roberson Family Prayer Center and became a born again Christian and I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. You see a wife is your help mate, your Queen, best friend, and a gift from God which is why the Bible tells husbands to treat our wives as The Lord treated the Church in Ephesians 5:25. I’m telling you this because I didn’t know or have the slightest clue what it was to live by faith but I have learned. So check this out. today we want to talk about speaking things into existence. I know you are probably wondering what I’m talking about, right? Speaking what into existence? Don’t worry. I got ya. I’m talking about faith here. Speaking things into existence is knowing what you are saying and believing it. I know some people are like, I know what I’m saying, I said it right? Well let me put it this way, what we say will manifest in our lives. Our words have meaning and will effect us. Here, let me give you an example: if there is something that you desire with your Heart, pray about and believe that you will receive it while praying about it, in Jesus Name. And give Thanks for your prayer being answered. Amen. That’s it. So, how do I know what I am talking about, right? I mean, where did I get this from? I first learned about faith from my wife who was already much further along in her faith walk with trusting the Lord, and all of this is covered in Mark 11:24. and here let me give you another example: I used to always say to my wife that the weather changing gives me a migraine and because I said it and believed it—I would get that migraine. My wife would always tell me not to believe that because I could have what I say.  one day I decided to stop saying and believing that I would get migraines when the weather changes. And  I’ve been migraine free every since.  Alright, check this out. Romans 4:17 states: God calls thing that are not as though they already exist. And in Mark 16:17 Jesus Christ states: Everyone who believes me will be able to do wounderful things…meaning by using the name of Jesus. Wow right? Isn’t that amazing? You see, faith in God is the key. It is just like Jesus Christ said in Matthew 21:22 (ESV) in the Bible. Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive it.  SHERICA:  Amen.  We have to have Faith and Believe the Word of God. In Romans chapter 10 verse 17 it says No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ. When you know—you know and when you believe all His promises in the Bible are “Yes” and that those promises are for us AND this is in 2 Corinthians chapter 1 versus 20.  After reading that scripture I definitely  BELIEVE THAT I WILL Recieve ALL THE PROMISES HE HAS GIVEN US AND THEY ARE ALL GOOD—because every good gift comes from the Lord. Amen. And just like Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 anyone could use this scripture with confidence and without doubt—“Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see” I mediate with this scripture and I believe His promises and His Word is true. and that’s how I apply that scripture to my life—along with the scripture Mark chapter 11 verse 24 CEV translation “Everything you ask for in prayer will be yours, if you only have faith.” When you know—you know. Ha! Another important key is to forgive others the book of Matthew chapter 18 verses 21-35 and Matthew chapter 6 verses 9-15 expresses the importance of forgiving others.  This scripture talks about forgiving others and if you don’t our Heavenly Father will not forgive us. and Brother Kenneth Copeland a wonderful faith teacher said “faith will not work in an unforgiving heart.” (and Richard and I are partners with Kenneth Copeland Ministries  & Bill Winston Ministries)  Okay I just wanted to say that and add that everything Richard and I discuss on this podcast and all future episodes  is just for informational purposes and we are sharing our own personal experiences and we do not expect others to emulate us. Feel free to study the Word and emulate Jesus. . Now back to an unforgiving heart—Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God and that’s in Matthew chapter 5 verse 8 and God’s Word is True. And the Word of God says God’s Word is Alive & Powerful in Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12. RICHARD:  That’s right sweetheart. God’s Word is alive and true. Now someone might be wondering how this relates to us? Well, check this out. The Holy Spirit, who is the third member of the Godhead, inspired and guided every word written in the Bible. And knowing that we know everything that we say has meaning because the Bible says so. SHERICA:  Amen! Just like in the Bible the Word says all who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God and this is in 1 John chapter 4 verse 15. That’s powerful and  as born again Christians we have that same power within us and Romans  chapter 8 verse 11 says that. YOU know we Welcome God to dwell within us when we become born again Christians.  RICHARD:  Amen. God dwells within us. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1. Alright, when we look at creation in Genesis 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth, but the Holy Spirit did not start to do anything until God the Father spoke in Genesis 1:3. This brings us to speaking things into existence.  SHERICA:  I know some of y’all might be wondering how Richard & I met and why is she mentioning this now, because it was our first time speaking things into existence—back in 1994 Richard and his Mom went to Hardee’s to get some food and this happened to be the first time we met for a brief moment and it was my first job and I was going into my junior year in High School. I remember Richard wasn’t clear on his order and I asked him if he could drive around to the window—he drove up with his Mom and I asked for clarification on his order and he wanted a chicken filet sandwich. Ha! Ha!. And in my mind I kept thinking this guy is so well spoken, fine & he’s such a gentleman. I was so impressed with his mannerisms. RICHARD:  Yeah. I remember that day. My moms drove around the drive through and  I saw the most beautiful woman in the world. In my mind I was thinking ” I want to talk to her, but how am I going to do that with my moms in the car? So I said my order again, you know, lowering  my voice, trying to sound smooth. Ha! Then I watched trying to be cool as she prepared my order. She handed us our order and we shared a look and I knew in my heart that I was going to meet her again when I came back to visit my Moms. My moms drove us back home and I had to get ready to leave to return to Germany, because I visited my moms in the summer but lived with my pops in Germany. SHERICA:  and after they left I remember saying I am going to marry him and I said this out loud to myself. I couldn’t keep that to myself so I went over to my co worker and I  asked her if she saw the guy in the drive thru window with his Mom and she didn’t even see him. I kept going on about how nice he was and that I was going to marry him. We laughed about it but I just had a feeling in my heart & my mind was telling me he’s the one. I never had this happen to me before and I didn’t even know who he was. I was literally in love at first sight. I remember thinking I would see him again but I never did. I didn’t even know he was living in Germany. I just want to give a lovely shout out to our Moms & Dads because we both grew up in church. Right babe.  RICHARD:  So true. As a kid we didn’t have a choice in the matter. Every Sunday we were in church.  SHERICA:  Ha! Ha!  Amen. and they ensured that we went. We were both military kids.  The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 22 verse 6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.  Lord we thank you.  I mean we were young kids and we heard the Word but we didn’t  know how to fully live souled out for Christ as children and have a complete understanding of how to put the Word of God into action—like we do now.  SHERICA:  well in this story it’s now two years later, Richard, left Germany during his junior year of high school and he went to live with his mother in Florida. Richard and I both graduated from high school in 1996.  The summer of 1996 we both joined the Army.  When I enlisted into the military, I chose to go to basic training during the fall because I wanted to spend more time with my family and friends before I left for the Army. RICHARD:   I went straight into the military and was at Fort Sill,OKLAHOMA in July. Man that heat was serious. It was the first time I expirenced thriple digit heat. Ha! Ha!  SHERICA:  Wow! I went in the fall. Thank God because I don’t really like the heat. Ha! Ha!. Here I am at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and the world is listening to the fugees and I’m singing Army cadence at Basic training. Then I went to Fort Sam Houston TX for advanced training school to become a medial specialist and I was singing cadence there too. Ha! Meanwhile, Richard were you at Fort Sill, Oklahoma or where you already at Fort Polk when I was at  AIT?  RICHARD:  Oh, I was still at fort sill for both my basic and ait. Or was I at Polk at that time? No. I was at Sill then. I remember because at Christmas we were allowed to go home for a week and then we had to go back. Ha! The drill SGT’s put us back to phase three so we could remember that we were back in the Army. Ha. We enjoyed that little bit of freedom. just Glad that is over with. It was hard but thinking back it was fun too. But I wouldn’t do it again ha! SHERICA:  ha! I wouldn’t do basic training again either especially at our age now. It’s definitely for people coming straight out of high school. wait I just thought about this did you leave the barracks on Sunday—during basic training. well I mean sign up to go to church on our only day off which was on Sundays. RICHARD:  Yes. Just to get way from our drill sergeants. if we stayed we went to the beach. But it wasn’t a real beach it was a sand pit. Where we got smoked. Which was a whole lot of exercises in July heat.    SHERICA:  Wow!! Yes, it did feel like a fun and safe get away. Whew!! that was pure joy & peaceful. Me and my battle buddies were sending them prayers up throughout basic training. Ha. Fun times. RICHARD:  Ha! I know right. I sent prayers up too. Man basic training was something serious.  SHERICA:  ha! Babe I think we should play the music again. ha! Ha! It’s nice, Right! and the song is Amazing!!  God is Wonderful. He has always been with us and He ensures that we are taken care of.  RICHARD:  that’s right God will never leave us nor forsake us. He supplies our every need.  SHERICA:  Amen. Lord we thank you.  I feel like this is a long story and maybe we should continue this, in the next episode. Babe what do you think we should do?  RICHARD:   I am with you  sweetheart. It’s a good story and we should make this a 2 part episode.  SHERICA:  I agree with you Babe. if you all  would like for us to continue telling our story about how we met and when we finally saw each other again.  Please let us know in the comments sections on our website and within our Facebook group.  RICHARD: please Subscribe to our podcast and Be sure to visit King and Queen Christian Podcast Facebook group to join the conversation and visit Queenofmyblessedhome.com to access the show notes.
