For the afternoon hours, all modes of severe weather will be possible; including damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado. Very moist conditions combined with wet soils from recent heavy rainfall will lead to additional chances for flash flooding through this evening. Through late tonight. Thunderstorms capable of producing very heavy rainfall in a short amount of time are expected to continue on and off through the day. These storms combined with moist soils from recent heavy rainfall will lead to an increased flash flood threat as rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be possible through Sunday afternoon. Low-lying and flood-prone areas will be most susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.
