In this portion of Romans, Paul references the faith of Abraham. Pastor Adam digs into this type of faith and reminds us why we can have faith in the promises of God.

In Romans 3:27-31, Paul is explaining to the Church of Rome that our boasting can only be in Christ. That we are saved through our faith and not our works. However he mentions that it is through our faith that we can then uphold the law. In this message we discuss the importance of finding balance in faith and works. One without the other signals a problem in our relationship with God.

In Romans 3 Paul deals with the weighty issues of total depravity, justification, and propitiation. The hearers were no doubt cut to the heart as he reveals the deep and insidious nature of sin that lies within us. Thankfully Paul does not leave us there but offers us hope. Hope in the form of the son of God Jesus who would die in our place for our sins.

In this message the Apostle Paul challenges the listener to really examine their own lives before considering judging others. Life is full of challenges and we often inflate the sin in others lives while diminishing our own. Sometimes we even talk the talk without walking the walk. Paul is encouraging us to ensure that our walk is in alignment with our talk.

As we get started we talk about the similarities between Roman culture and the culture of our day and we begin to learn more about the books author. Does God really care about the little guy? When we're lonely or struggling to get by, it's hard to imagine that God can relate. But the angel's announcement to the shepherds reminds us that God sees all of us. Even when we don't see things the way He does.

The church of North America seems to be in a decline. We are losing the next generation at a rate that hasn’t been seen in this nation. It has been stated that over 80% of youth will leave the church by the age of 18. Despite political claims for or against, the post- christendom statue of culture is pointing to a decline in the church and a increase in secular foundations. Should the church panic? What do we do? The answer isn’t found in slick strategy or a flashy approach, but rather going back to the core attraction that found the early church growth in the midst of a clearly pagan society. The answer is digging to to roots of Christ’s church using the drawl of the gospel of the Kingdom of God. What is fundamental in the hearts of the next generation that is deeper than our media, technology and culture? What are they really craving that Christ, and his church are offering?

The children of Israel have finally made it to the promised land. What would some of the first things God would say to them be? In this message we will explore how making it into the land is not an end, but a new beginning and what that means for our lives today!

Throughout the course of this message series we have been taking a journey with the Jewish people from Egypt towards the Promised Land. Egypt was a place of bondage and the promised land would be a place of freedom. Yet just as they can see the promised land on the horizon and are about to enter in one final challenge emerges. There are giants occupying the land. Border bullies who would prevent them from receiving what God has for them. Would they walk in by faith or would they retreat in fear? In this message, Pastor Joey will continue following the journey of the Israelites and their Exodus from Egypt. God has poured blessings upon the people of Israel, guiding their step each way and providing for every need. Upon leaving Egypt they were even blessed with all the riches of Egypt. Yet, like the people of Israel, it is interesting how we sometimes use the blessings of God, maybe even to the point of worshiping the blessing itself over God.
