061: What’re you gonna say
Well it was nice to have both guys in the studio tonight to talk all about the Winnipeg Jets and listen to your feedback on the latest question posed – who’s currently got the best jersey in the NHL. There were definitely some great thoughts and feedback and we’re always appreciative when you call in.
The question this week, should players say no to their country to focus on their NHL team? Call us anytime before 6:30 pm CT on Tuesday November 12 toll-free at 855-321-JETS (5387).
Today’s show brought to you by OffsideGear.com – a great source for unique Winnipeg Jets fan merchandise.
With just two games last week, we had a lot to talk about, including the impressive of performance that Scheifele put forth in the game against Detroit. Maybe it’s something we can see more of.
In the Prospect Report, Jeff talks about Adam Lowry and his performance in the AHL with the St. John’s IceCaps. The only unfortunate part is he’s currently injured, but hopefully should be ready for the anticipated 2015 season with the Jets.
The Winnipeg Jets are off on the road for a quick game, then back home for a pair, then back on the road. We predict the games as follows:
Wednesday November 6 7:00 @ Chicago Blackhawks – TSN
Jeff – W
Marshall – L
Friday November 8 7:00 vs Nashville Predators – TSN-JETS
Jeff – L
Marshall – W
Sunday November 10 7:00 vs San Jose Sharks – TSN-JETS
Jeff – L
Marshall – L
Tuesday November 12 6:30 @ Detroit Red Wings – TSN
Jeff – L
Marshall – L
For what it’s worth, Jeff is 4-2 on predictions while Marshall sits at an even .500 3-3.

We get on the touchy subject of Semyon Varlamov, the Colorado Avalanche goalie who was recently arrested on domestic violence charges. Needless to say, it got Marshall’s back up a bit, and we’re still not sure he’s come out of it correctly. His stance: if you commit or are accused of committing an act of violence, as a player, coach, celebrity or public figure, step away from what you’re doing. Don’t take a start. Don’t talk to the press. Just deal with your situation.
