In Session: Kitty Bucholtz
I present to you another In Session with a wonderful energy, Kitty Bucholtz.  She is not only a writer who pens superhero urban fantasy and romantic comedy, often with an inspirational element woven in, she decided to become a writer-turned-independent-publisher, forming Daydreamer Entertainment and self-publishing her first novel in 2011. Founder of WRITE NOW! Workshop and host of WRITE NOW! Workshop Podcast, she loves to teach writing workshops online and in person and has been doing so since 1997.   I think her In Session exemplifies a problem many of us run into, and that is those of us who service a variety of clients can empathize when it comes to personal branding and not exactly knowing how to create an effective branding message. The Publicist
Have you ever been in a situation where someone has left you hanging? Did it change the way you thought about that person? For me, I had an experience with “The Publicist,” who I established a business relationship with that ended in a temporary ghosting. I wasn’t quite sure how to relate to him any longer because at the end of the day, vagueness does more damage to your personal brand than anything else. Closing the loop is hugely important in communication. In this episode, you can learn how it can build and maintain strong relationships, and make them thrive whether it is an offer, a request, or a proposal.

The Engineering Students
All of us could use a little help when it comes to speaking about ourselves and getting over our nervousness and this was the case with “The Engineering Students.” Say you are preparing for a job interview like these students were, you don’t need to remind them what is on your resume. There is something on that resume that has already resonated with the person you're being interviewed by, so why would you need to repeat it? They are looking for something different and to communicate that “something different,” you will need three things: Intention, understanding your audience, and reaction time.Subscribe and if you want to follow me on social media, you can find me at @JP3GlobalMedia on Facebook, @JessPonceIII on Twitter, and @JessPonce on Instagram.

The Techie
How many of you have heard get your 90-second elevator pitch ready? I met “The Techie” in one of my workshops. He, like many others that attend my class and workshops, ran through his pitch and wasted his moment. Right now, here and now, let me tell you: You need to abandon this technique and instead come up with a 90-second CONNECTION. Within that 90 seconds that you are going up the elevator with that individual that you think is some important decision-maker, you gotta remember he or she has heard a ton of pitches all day and every time he or she is going up that metaphorical elevator, someone is objectifying them and looking at them as a yes or no person or not even as a person at all as a thing that is either going to greenlight your project or not. “The Techie” who was used to using his data was ignored repeatedly because he wasn’t engaging the decision-makers in his process.
