Prior to being a professional athlete, Kerry was a student-athlete at Stanford University graduating in 2003 with a degree in Medical Anthropology. As a four-year letter winning running back on the Stanford Football team Kerry concluded his career #7 on Stanford's career rushing list with 2,039 yards, ranked 4th in career rushing touchdowns (23) and 7th in career touchdowns (25). He led the team in rushing as a sophomore in 2000 and a senior in 2002. Kerry is active in his Seattle community, serving on the board of Juma Ventures – and organization seeking to break the cycle of poverty by paving the way to work, education, and financial capability for youth across America.
