We are six chapters in and things are getting worse. We regret any of the nice things we said about this book in the beginning. Author - ..Levi is that you?...jk...Lisa Anderson Couples Therapy - James gets choke slammed or some sort of power move is made on him..? Mariah is mad at Elmo's World. Book Review - How can a single woman be so sexist toward woman? We question her credibility again..and again. Baby Corner - Being a parent is real gross. This week we have a speedy date night (we are blaming it on limited storage). We take this short time to discuss some of the books we have read that have affected our dating lives. Spoiler: Most of them aren't dating books.

Author - Lisa Anderson Couples Therapy - Names are hard and James broke the law. He also clues us in on some myths about police cars we have believed for far too long. Book Review - It took 5 chapters but turns out this is not a good dating advice book. We also found out that even female authors can be pretty sexist. Baby Corner - Liam is a punk and possibly an anarchist..But we like him a ton! Media - We got a lovely email! In this episode, we conclude our time in the infuriating advice book by Levi Lusko.  Book - Swipe Right Author - Levi Lusko Couples Therapy - James is rude. Mariah has exciting adventures in the grocery store. James has skin issues. Book Review - We read the final chapter and skimmed the conclusion.  Things get a little heavy and out of character of the rest of the book.  Rating - We discuss our rating system and rate the book based on several criteria. -We spend so much time on the book this week, that we ran out of time for everything else! We are back, we are full of Thanksgiving yumminess and we are ready to podcast again! Episode 9, we discuss, thus far, the most awkward and disappointing chapter of the book. The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi Lusk"no" Couples Therapy - Urinals, Elf Alternatives, Santa Clause movies, loud Thanksgiving-ish Book Review - ummm....Things get awkward.... Bad Dating Advice - Really, really bad pick up lines. Mariah is sorry. Baby Corner - Liam is getting real big. We think he's becoming a monster baby. Media - Nothing this week, and we are sad about that.

The eighth episode, of this gloriously awkward trip back into the dating world.  Things are not looking up for this book. The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi Luskpoo Couples Therapy - We had a real date night this week. James probably had something weird happen to him, that he is excited to talk about. Book Review - More airplanes, black boxes and weird analogies. We roll our eyes and sigh a lot. Bad Dating Advice - This week's dating advice is brought to by Cosmopolitan Magazine, and we apologize for that. Baby Corner - James taught Liam how to growl, in general he is a weirdo. Media - We got two emails this week, which included both a book suggestion and an offer for a sponsorship!

In the seventh episode of this dating adventure, James and Mariah continue to drudge through Levi's tumultuous tinder-esce book. The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi Lusko Couples Therapy - Some awkward shout outs are given. Also Disney World is a crazy place. Book Review -  Some good...LOTS of bad!! James sighs a lot, it's that bad. (We also hear how James feels about the treatment of Millennials..) Bad Dating Advice - Pet Names = Better Marriage. You're Welcome! Baby Corner - Our baby is an Einstein baby!   Media - We got an email and a new Itunes review! WootWoot!    

We are back at it again, Episode 6, and we continue into chapter 4 of our book.  Levi doesn't disappoint to disappoint. The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi "the analogy man" Lusko Couples Therapy - James raps and talks big burgers. Mariah talks about baby pee. Book Review - Sex...airplanes...sex...Jericho...sex...Achin...Sex...SEX! What is happening?! Bad Dating Advice - Mariah has Dating Advice men don't actually give to each other. Baby Corner - Liam is a really gross, adorable baby. Media - We got an email and some fun comments!

The Fifth, yes fifth, episode of this sweet couple talking bad dating books and awkward dating advice.  Today we take a short detour from discussing the book (we desperately need this little vacation episode).  We take this opportunity to: -talk about James' pants. -celebrate the fact that we've made it this far, maybe share a little, non-alcoholic, bubbly. -thank the people that made this whole podcasting thing possible. -check our email! (Yay! We got an email!)  

Episode 4 of this awkwardly adorable couple talking about the awful and delusional Dating Advice book- Swipe Right. The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi Lusko Their Opinion - ...is it too much to handle? Couples Therapy - We talk demons and body art...weird things have happened lately Book Review - Did Mariah literally throw the book this week? Yes. Will we continue to read this book? Listen to find out. Bad Dating Advice - Pick up lines, Axe body spray, and 13-year-old James.. Baby Corner - Baby Liam may be becoming a dog *Warning* This chapter is named 'Sex mean Scars', so inevitably we will have to use that word a lot.

The third episode, of the, probably not so popular, romance podcast about lame Christian dating books. The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi Lusko Their Opinion - Yikes! (it's getting worse..why are we reading this, again?) Couples Therapy - James gets pooped on? James reads "inspirational" quotes from his co-workers. Mariah really doesn't do much. Book Review - James and Mariah are jaded by Levi's continued crappy writing and pop culture references. James is especially uncomfortable with this chapter, as it is primarily about sex. Bad Dating Advice - Mariah gets angry about dating advice aimed at women. Baby Corner - Baby Liam visited his first pumpkin patch, turned 8 months old and is becoming especially opinionated.  

In the second episode of the smash* hit podcast, the best* couple in the world discuss Christian dating books that could be defined as problematic. The Book – Swipe Right The Author – Levi Lusko Their Opinion – Good Golly Miss Molly (Not good) Couples Therapy – Mariah talks budgets and babies. James only does podcast stuff now. Book Review – Mariah is disgusted by Levi’s dumb dad jokes. Levi talks about sex and makes James uncomfortable, again. They read about the story of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but with a little bit of a modern twist. Mariah is outrage, that's right, outrage that Levi insinuates that Jacob was a millennial. Bad Dating Advice – James rambles for 10 minutes about some dating advice from Tumblr, and then generalizes the entire community. Baby Corner – Their baby is learning to crawl, and the finer points of comedy. *I use the word "smash" and "best" very liberally

In this premier episode, a married couple discuss a dating book for teens and young adults. So, stuff they don't know anything about The Book - Swipe Right The Author - Levi Lusko Their Opinion - Pretty Lame, but has good intentions Couples Therapy - James thinks he's being bullied for liking Star Wars. Mariah likes to hang with their baby. Neither of them know anything about dating in 2017. Bad Dating Advice - Submarining is a thing, I guess. Baby Corner - Their kid is on his way to hipsterdom, likes PSLs, sitting, and biting people. Just like a hipster.
