The Knife Lady Attends a Family Function
Knife Lady Family Reunion   Hey there! It’s the Knife Lady! My interview for this week didn’t quite pan out, but I have a few things I wanted to talk about so I decided to post anyway.  Yesterday, I had a partial family reunion. It was a gathering of the women on my father’s side of my family - aunts cousins, cousins-in laws. In my work truck I had a dash cam, until recently.  For this segment, I sat down and edited a bunch of clips I’ve saved from the road.   In the video you’ll see a bit of why.    And since I didn’t want to leave the video on a low note, you’ll have to see it for yourself for the sweet ending. All I’ll say was that I caught that clip in Pittsfield, MA, on Merrill Road a few years ago. It’s hard to read, but that’s a Pittsfield police officer.  I’m posting the video on the blog page. Go to hubknives.com and click on the It’s the Knife Lady! Blog/Podcast page. I’ll also be posting a new pot luck recipe, thanks to my sister and a chef she worked with in Worcester at the Sole Proprietor, over twenty years ago.   Thanks for listening! I hope you try the Gazpacho recipe. I’m definitely adding it to my roster of pot luck crowd pleasers!  I’ll be back with another interview next week.

Interlude 1
Every once in a while, I'm just going to tell a story. This first Interlude is about a day not too long ago when a guy backed into my car in a parking lot.

Bonnie B's Country Kitchen
For the second episode, I traveled to Greenfield, Massachusetts, to sit down with Bonnie Brown, owner of Bonnie B’s Country Kitchen. We had a great conversation about her history in the restaurant business, her new location, her trip to the Super Bowl last year, food, and of course, knives.

El Forastero
I took a trip out to Feeding Hills in Massachusetts to sit down with Jackie, the daughter of the owner of El Forastero. She was great! We talked about the restaurant, her mom, Susanna, her mom’s husband and the chef, Amadore, as well as margaritas, food, what she’s up to when she’s not serving up deliciousness, and of course, knives.
