Mary Alice Volkert, MS,RDN,LD,CDE has been a Registered and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist since 1978 and a Certified Diabetes Educator since 1986. Her degrees are in Foods and Nutrition (BS) and Hospital Dietetics (MS). She’s has had Type 1 Diabetes since 1965 (and is still upright!). Mary Alice engages patients in a positive way, carefully listening for ways to achieve healthy success!     In this episode, MAGGIE & MARY ALICE discuss:  When Mary was diagnosed, and what she learned from the experience.
