Is This What The Kids Are Into?

Episode 7: 5SOS, Frozen, Mom
This week we follow up One Direction with a look at their tourmates 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) and ask if they aren't more accurately "what the kids of 2001 were into". We try vainly to understand #derpcon and ask what the Australian equivalents of Harvard and American Apparel would be. Also, our pre-schooler cousins sing Frozen songs for us and have no time for our nonsense.

Episode 6: One Direction
This episode comes to you 'al fresco', complete with bird noises from Nikki and Dave's garden. How does their sweet song compare to the latest opus from pop superstars One Direction? You will have to listen to find out. Also in this episode, Nikki gives career advice to the lads and your hosts ask Buzzfeed which 1D member they should date.

Episode 5: Divergent, Redfoo, Too Many Cooks
This week we get a little dystopian, with the teen book/film sensation "Divergent". Does it stack up to "The Hunger Games"? What is with Shailene Woodley's hair? And is the dystopian reality actually our own, in which Redfoo is allowed to be on television? Listen also for Nikki's review of Taylor Swift's "1989" (known to Dave as "Grade Three with Mrs Boyce") and the viral creditfest of "Too Many Cooks". What else could you want?

Episode 4: Dancing, Cool Kids, Turtles
This week we listen to a random selection of current hits and make some interesting discoveries. Our conversion to “Swifties” is complete, we discover our unofficial theme song and we ponder modern law enforcement techniques. We don’t educate our listeners at all - we leave the Wikipedia research to you. All in all, it’s our best podcast yet.

Episode 3: All-ages, Milkcrates, Reign
In which Dave and Nikki venture out to an all-ages show and learn much in the process about normcore, ridiculous headwear, Aston Shuffle and dancing like no-one is watching. They also recap "Reign" and ask whether it's historically accurate. Hint: it doesn't really matter.

Episode 2: Television, Vampires, Fruity Lexia
Momentarily forgetting the name of the podcast, Dave and Nikki return with a special guest: TV expert Maaike. They ask the tough questions about vampires, Dave sits too close to the microphone and they reminisce about the days you couldn't download TV without it being a pixelated mess. Most of it isn't slightly pertinent to the topic, but that's part of the fun, right?

Episode 1: Introductions, Celebrities, Housekeeping
In this first episode, Dave and Nikki introduce themselves and their so-far-unsuccessful quest to remain relevant while being old married people. They take a few Buzzfeed quizzes in which they are baffled by modern slang and internet-based celebrities. They also ask for your help in discovering more of "what the kids are into" for future episodes.
