Steve is joined by showbuddy and the founder of voter advocacy group Gov360, Lawrence Gaughan, to discuss voter turnout and the influence voting can have on elections - it's true! They discuss the California ballot, early voting and its influence on later turnout, exit polls, the influence of social media as an up-to-the-minute fact-checker and more. Lawrence also discusses his plans to monitor a Mayoral election in Nicaragua, which explains his mail-in ballot, and Steve pulls his Rush Limbaugh impression out of the mothballs.

Steve starts the morning by saying a quick goodbye to Alex Karras, and then leads some conversation about Presidential endorsements (one a Senator and one...not a Senator), the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a brief look at the government money Big Bird gets compared to Mitt Romney, PolitiFact.com and more.

Steve encounters technical difficulties to start off the show, so conversation with regular Friday guest, Dean Evans is a no-go. Carrying on valiantly, Steve shares stories of a woman who shot her husband to keep him from hurting her cat, a new right-wing ad that strongly implies Obama is a 'baby-killer' because of his support of Planned Parenthood, the mayor of Phoenix spends a week eating what poor people eat, and he reveals who is leading the all-important Halloween mask polls. Around this time, Johnny Dam, host of The DAMage Report, joins Steve and they discuss a Chinese Dad offers 65 million to the first guy who can 'straighten out' his lesbian daughter, obesity ads, political correctness, the Electoral College and more. It's live radio - or it was, when it happened.

Steve welcomes comedian, former journalist and author James Tripp to the show. They talk about James' new book, "The Hierophant", how the media is failing to do their job when it comes to reporting on the candidates, the role of religion in society, how the Internet will eventually be taken over by corporate interests, and summering in Martha's Vineyard with Gary Hart.

Steve passes on some personal health news and questions why people don't want national health care to be available to them, rather than waiting for a trip to the ER. He also runs through some headlines, including a new app that allows you to look at Einstein's brain, Obama's speech to the United Nations General Assembly, and how you can feed people and get several degrees closer to bacon - Kevin Bacon, that is.

Steve talks with two representatives from Fort Hernandez, Alissa Kokkins of Occupy LA and Ulises Hernandez, whose brother, Javier, owns a home in Van Nuys that is in danger of being lost because of deceptive practices by their bank that forced a foreclosure. The three of them talk about the action and the efforts being conducted by the Occupiers and the community, late-night visits from Child Protective Services, the "BofA DOA" gathering and more.

Steve talks with journalist Lou Colagiovanni who is also the founder of the popular Facebook group "We Survived Bush. You Will Survive Obama." The two discuss how Lou started the group and how information gets shared, as well as talking more in-depth about unrest in the Middle East, the difference in the sense of humor between Republicans and Democrats, fact-checking, the Occupy Movement, the banking crisis and more. The phone connection isn't always great, but the conversation is.

Dean Evans returns for "Fridays With Dean" (yay!), and he and Steve talk about Randy Travis' latest drunken exploits, this morning's shooting at the Empire State Building, Baby Fight Club, a Dad whose will says his gay son has to marry a woman to get his inheritance, monkey business in the lab, bees, the forecast for Tampa and the RNC (rainy with a slight chance of Armageddon) and calls for national rebellion if Obama is re-elected.

Los Angeles City Council voted in July to close down medical marijuana dispensaries by September 6th of this year. With the deadline approaching, where does their ruling stand? Steve is joined by medical marijuana advocate Degé Coutee of the Patient Advocacy Network to talk about the latest legal wranglings - a victory for advocates in Long Beach, confusion and politics on the Council, a City Attorney who may be tossed under the next bus out of town and more.

Steve and regular Friday showbuddy Dean Evans talk about Chick-Fil-A's record sales day, how Fox News compares the Chick-Fil-A protests to the Occupy Movement, Roseanne Barr runs for President with another political party, a man attacks his girl for her alleged affair with Mitt Romney, and Steve and Dean come to the realization that every story they talk about turns into a discussion about french fries.

The first "Fridays With Dean" since Steve's return features him and comedian/musician Dean Evans discussing Mitt Romney's inauspicious international debut and his symbolic seat on the family jet-ski, yet another police-related shooting in Anaheim, California (three in one week) and trying to figure out what people want Chick-Fil-A to do about their stance on gay marriage. Listen, learn and laugh!

The results of the investigation into Penn State are in and they're disturbing. Steve opens with the report, then covers the GOP voting for the 33rd time to repeal health care, Mitt Romney getting booed at the NAACP like it's "Showtime At The Apollo" and a few thoughts about compromise.

Steve spends the show discussing Arizona, Florida's whacked out cousin with the Southwestern motif. He talks about the recent detention of a former Governor of Arizona (Castro), who is 96, originally from Mexico and who was forced to sit in 100 degree heat in his suit at a check point; current Governor Jan Brewer's latest legal maneuverings and background, and a look at strange laws still on the books in Arizona (remember, no camel hunting!). That and a quick look at Donald Trump's views on the Affordable Care Act.

Steve welcomes comedian/actor/political commentator John Fugelsang to the show for a fascinating hour of talk. Despite a minor technical glitch with the intro, the conversation is fast and furious, covering almost everything except AG Holder's Fast and Furious woes: religion, the Affordable Care Act, the Supreme Court, Romney, Etch-A-Sketches, marijuana, military spending, critical thinking, Texas, and the fall of the Empire.

Steve plays host to Denise Cook, better known as The Oracle around the Los Angeles community. They discuss the upcoming benefits for the LA Black Book Expo and a program run by a local bookstore trying to save one million books form being burned and shipping them overseas instead. The Oracle also performs a powerful live rendition of "Summertime".

Steve returns to Wisconsin for a little more discussion on the recall vote and how much money has poured into the state from outside sources bent on union-busting. Also, some discussion of today's primary in California and Monsanto meets resistance in Mexico.

Steve is joined by Kurt Haskell, an attorney running for Congress from the 7th district of Michigan, who also happens to be the sole witness to the original Underwear Bomber back around Christmas of 2009.
