The other day my kids wanted ice cream. However, not just any ice cream. Somebody's kid - it's always somebody's kid* - asked me to go get a ball that he "accidentally" threw over the mean dog's yard fence. After thinking about it for less than a second, I said no and that they should get it. I then explained to them that it is moments like these that builds character.
