S4 Ep6 - Monterrey BBQ Fest 2022
In this episode I take you with me to the Monterrey BBQ Fest!! The first BBQ event of its kind & the first KCBS competition ever, in Mexico. I believe we also had the first Texas Pitmaster to wrestle a luchador in Mexico as well!!  It was an incredible time and I’m happy that I get to share part of the experience, with you!  I will also have a Spanish version coming out very soon, so be on the look out for it! Welcome to the I Crush Barbecue Show, I'm your Host, Abe Delgado In this episode I take you back to the Heritage Craft Barbecue Invitational which was a celebration of their 2nd year Anniversary.  This event was the best BBQ event that California has ever seen.  We had some of the TOP Barbecue Pitmasters from across the country.  We also had the pioneers of Craft Barbecue from California and some of the up and coming beasts of Cali BBQ.  If you didn't make it out, I'm sad you missed out but at least I hope to provide a taste of the action.  I was able to interview quite a few of the pitmasters, there were 40+ so unfortunately I wasn't able to interview all of them, but we had some great representation.  I promise, you won't want to miss the next one!  I hope you enjoy the show!

In this Episode, I chat with my buddy Derrick Walker from Smoke-A-Holics Barbecue in Fort Worth Texas.  Derrick has been slanging BBQ for many years, he was doing popups before popups were cool!  I dropped by during a BBQ Run I did with my dad where we hit 26 spots in about a week back in December of last year.  Smoke-A-Holics was definitely one of the highlights of that trip and I was able to chat with Derrick earlier this year.  With his Culinary background and homestyle cooking they coined the phrase TexSoul  which  is Texas Barbecue with a Soul Food twist.  If you haven't been, you have to stop by this Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joint!  BTW, Smoke-A-Holics has already confirmed that they will be at The Heritage Barbecue Invitational, which is an event that will be held in San Juan Capistrano California to celebrate Heritage Barbecue's 2nd Anniversary on August 13th.  Get your tickets to that if you haven't yet!  In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the show, this is Derrick Walker with Smoke-A-Holics! In this episode I talk to the most famous BBQ Pitmaster you may have never heard of unless you're in the BBQ Circles.  He's a BBQ World Champion and this year he was part of Mexico's 3rd place finish in the World Championship on a team led by Mexico's biggest BBQ ambassador Luis Rivas. We Kick-Off Season 4 with my conversation with Dayne and Ashley Weaver of Dayne's Craft Barbecue.  Stories like theirs is why I have a podcast in the first place.  Although you might think of struggle and sacrifice when you hear them share their experiences, but that's not really how they felt.  Their Strong belief in each other and the hard work and determination that's instilled in them made it feel like oh well it's just another day, we can work extra hours and just get through it.  They were made for each other and they were made to cook great Barbecue, believe me, I know!  I recorded this show back in December of 2021 and I was able to make it out there with my dad later in the month and my goodness, we were blown away.  That Brisket, that sausage and those dang Burgers are to die for. In a short period of time, this self-taught BBQ Cook has molded his Chef experience and his cultural influences to create some incredible BBQ fusions. Tune in for some exciting updates!! S3 Ep4 - Holliday's Barbecue
In this episode, I chat with Gabe and Dom of Holliday's Barbecue in San Diego California!  Gabe has recently joined the Civilian life after spending 11yrs as a Navy Man and Younger Brother Dom a former Marketing Entrepreneur has Joined Gabe in their quest to spread Texas Barbecue Goodness in San Diego. This is a very special episode for me I get the great honor to Interview welcome back one of my buddies to the Barbecue Scene! Bryan Furman was on top of the Culinary world in 2019, he finished as a semi-finalist for a James Beard Award,  he had just been named one of America's Best New Chefs by Food and Wine magazine and Bon Appetit dubbed him as Georgia's New King of BBQ.
