Give Me The Thing I Understand...Peter Gabriel
This week, Peter gosh darn Gabriel! Maybe not the most obscure artist but definitely had a huge impact on so many with his unique solo beginnings. Melissa brings us his first 4 albums, confusingly all titled "Peter Gabriel" but don't worry Melissa helps Bryan understand the unique differences between each album. Culminating into his sound track work and current albums. This is a biggie! There are biggie hearts! As always, most certainly 1000%, listen to the mix. These songs and albums deserve a full listen! This chapter is about a house...a Chapterhouse!
I guess we are back on a roll..this week back in the 1991 pocket with the band Chapterhouse and their stone cold classic record "Whirlpool". Melissa decided after the epic Dead Can Dance episode to hone this one in a bit and just focus on one record from this band that she loves. Even if you have never heard of Chapterhouse you have heard their influence on 90's era "alt-rock" and hiphop. Check it out it'll only take you an hour this time and you might just get up off your duff and shake it a little bit!! This weeks's Chapterhouse "Whirlpool" mix is no really a mix but rather the whole album plus a couple tracks demonstrating the two separate releases and the quality difference on the tracks. Listen to the episode to hear what we are talking about.  We suggest you listen to the YouTube music playlist as that has the tracks Melissa uploaded from her copy of Whirlpool. The Sundays Bryan, It's The SUNDAYS!
NUMBER 50!!! That's right we are over the hill with this one, we made it to 50 eps! And this is a fun one. Melissa and Bryan get into the importance of relying on lessons learned from Little House on the Prarie.. and then finally they get into talking about the stellar 1990 classic album Reading, Writting, and Arhimatic by the great band The Sundays. Even though this album has been a staple in their house Bryan needs a bit of a reminder and is better for it. YouTubeMix
