Building Intrinsic MotivationThe world has changed dramatically over the decade. Flexible working has been introduced along with the rapid rise of social networks. This means finding the motivation to stay productive is more important than ever. This podcast breaks down the fundamentals of motivation, what a growth and fixed mindset are, and how an internal locus of control affects intrinsic motivation. It is important for managers to understand the fundamentals of motivation in order to see how engagement and motivation are linked together.On a personal level, when I’m working on a boring, difficult or tedious task, I find that understanding how the brain’s thought process is linked to motivation helps me piece together why procrastination or negative thoughts exist.I’d love to hear from you.
