Horrid Lore #48: Doc's Back, and Better Than Ever
After months of radio silence, Doc has finally returned for another installment of Horrid Lore.  Establishing this episode as the dawn of a new day, or beginning of the second season.  Doc has returned to discuss the reasoning behind his absence.  Namely, the toxic cult like ideology fandoms have begun to adopt in droves.  His distaste for contributing to such a toxic subculture.  And two fun movie reviews!!  After 28 years of life Doc has never before seen two films that have recently left him floored.  We're talking about BBC's 1992 Halloween special, Ghostwatch.  As well as William Friedkin's follow up to The Exorcist, Sorcerer; which had absolutely nothing to do with magic in any way, shape, or form.

Horrid Lore #47: Endgame into The Long Night
Welcome back, creeps.  Doc is back, just as he promised to discuss the latest Avengers film; along with the latest epic episode of Game of Thrones.  Never fret though, Doc merely reviews his own feelings on Endgame rather than blowing the entire plot.  The same can not be said for The Long Night.  Doc has seen that the Game of Thrones spoilers memes have been running rampant online.  Enjoy, creeps and don't forget to subscribe!!

Horrid Lore #46: Game of Thrones
Welcome back to Doc's house, creeps.  Apologies for the horrible delay, but it has been a hectic time.  Nevertheless, Doc works at breakneck speed to discuss everything from the past several weeks.  Starting with the remake of Pet Semetary, moving on to the unjustly detested Hellboy.  Finally rounding everything off with what everyone was waiting for, the beginning of the end of Game of Thrones (before the spinoffs next year).  Enjoy, creeps.  Doc will be back soon to follow up on the doings in Westeros as well as the new Avengers.

Horrid Lore #44: The Return
Doc makes his triumphant return this week, with a special surprise to cap off the episode.  Firstly Doc addresses some polls he's recently put up on Instagram.  Such as Mike Mignola's work in Hellboy, and how hard the soundtrack to the 1997 Spawn film fucks.  We got it all this week, creeps.  Including the final rendition of the introduction of Macumba Nightmare to close out.  Enjoy, and don't forget to keep your ears to the ground, creeps!!

Horrid Lore #41: Glass
Welcome back for something very special Doc has been waiting a very long while to talk about.  And that is M. Night Shyamalan's conclusion to the stories of David Dunn, Elijah, and Kevin Crumb in his newest film, Glass.  Both Split and Unbreakable were his favorite outings from Mr. Shyamalan and he can't deny that Glass hasn't joined them.  Listen as Doc breaks down his feelings toward the first two installments, and gives a brief review of the final chapter.  Enjoy, creeps!  And don't forget to subscribe to the feed so that you won't need to keep your collective ears fixed to the ground.

Horrid Lore #40: True Detective
Welcome back, creeps for another episode of the podcast where Doc must show his ass and admit to being a liar.  He was not able to fulfill his promise of delivering chapters 4-10 of The Invisible Man this week because he has been so hard at work on running down Macumba Nightmare.  So in lieu of Wells he serves up his thoughts and excitement about the premiere of the newest season of True Detective, and how he feels it sizes up to the previous two seasons thus far.  Enjoy, creeps!!

Horrid Lore #39: Kevin Spacey Confession/Update
Welcome back for our first broadcast of 2019!!  Sorry for the delay, creeps; but after being in Colorado with limited internet access Doc came home to having no WiFi.  But, has finally found success.  So just in case any of you creeps need free WiFi for some tasty media junk food; just consult your local library!!  All explained in this little update.  Not too much to discuss as far as entertainment goes.  However, Doc goes quite in depth on the Christmas Eve message from Kevin Spacey, "Let Me Be Frank" and discusses his disdain toward the fact that all of the funniest responses were removed from the twitter thread.  Stay tuned for a consolation prize for your patience, we will be releasing a double sized Story Time next week.  Stay tuned, creeps!!!

Horrid Lore #37: The Invisible Man I
Welcome back for another installment of Story Time, creeps!!  This week we bring you what we teased two weeks ago with the rough recording of the first chapter.  Offering the first full three chapters of H.G. Wells' classic tale of horror with a twist of science fiction, The Invisible Man.  In these first three chapters we are introduced to the man, who is a merely an ill-tempered unexpected guest in the snowy weather.  That is until he begins to let his peculiarities become painfully obvious.  Enjoy, creeps!!  And keep your ears to the ground for Doc's top five movies of the year, which will indeed be out before the new year.

Horrid Lore #36: Usher II
Sorry for the delay, creeps.  Doc has been travelling and did not have any access to his computer yesterday.  However, without any further ado, here is our reading of Usher II by Ray Bradbury.  A tales from The Martian Chronicles, about a man who has left Earth to escape the growing tyranny of bureaucracy.  And also, to get revenge on those bureaucrats using methods from his favorite Edgar Allan Poe tales.  Enjoy, creeps!!!

Horrid Lore #35: The House That Jack Built
Welcome back for another episode of the podcast, creeps!!  This week, Doc discusses one of his favorite, yet difficult to digest films of the year.  Lars Von Trier's newest outing, which was allowed to show at the Cannes Film Festival, where he was banned in 2011 for making a cryptic "joke" about Adolph Hitler.  And you can see a lot of this bleed into Jack in several ways, the film is a comment on the possibility of art being the result of destruction, rather than creativity.  Forcing the viewer to ask themselves whether or not the man has a salient point.  Doc has an opinion or two on the matter.  Enjoy, creeps!!  New Story Time will be up on Friday!!!
35 minutes | Dec 14, 2018
Horrid Lore #34: Hop-Frog
Welcome back for another Story Time, creeps.  This week we bring to you one of our favorite Poe stories, Hop-Frog. A tale of revenge dealt out by a dwarf, Court Jester against the evil oaf of a Monarch who is his master. Believed by many (or maybe just us) to be the main inspiration behind Game of Thrones character, Tyrion Lannister.  And as a bonus in the end we've decided to throw you the beginnings of one of our new projects. A serialized reading of H.G. Wells' The Invisible man. Today we're coughing up the first Chapter in which the mysterious stranger first checks in to the inn.  Enjoy, creeps!!  And don't forget to follow the stream!!!

Horrid Lore #33: Buster Scruggs & Mowgli
Welcome back for another fun filled episode of the podcast.  In hopes to combat the possible negative energy still resonating from last week's.  Doc reviews both The Ballad of Buster Scruggs and Mowgli.  Two films he has been waiting a long time to see, especially the latter.  Also giving a brief summary of his thoughts on the compendium of Coen Brothers films, and an excited run through of the five years he has been waiting for Andy Serkis' adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic novel.  Enjoy, creeps!!  And please don't forget to subscribe to the stream, new Story Time will be up Friday!!!

Horrid Lore #32: Double the Lovecraft
Welcome back for another Story Time, creeps!!  This week we are back with even more Lovecraft, a double dose in fact.  First off, we offer up The Statement of Randolph Carter;   the story of two young men venture below the earth of a cemetery to find a being only spoken of in the Necronomicon. It doesn't take much critical thinking to realize how this will end.  Secondly, we give you The Alchemist.  Which takes place at the turn of the 20th Century, a man is terrified of a curse that has been put upon his family. Denying any member to live beyond the age of 32. Is it mere superstition, or a case of centuries old revenge; or could it be a mix of the two?  Enjoy, creeps!!  And don't forget, we will be back next week; so if you haven't already followed the feed please do so!!!
20 minutes | Dec 4, 2018
