EP 1 - Diversity & Inclusion - “Nothing about Us, Without us, Is for Us”
For the first episode of Honest Work, I wanted to cover Diversity and Inclusion. This has been a top agenda for many organisations. The positive impact diversity brings to an organisation is unquestionable. However there is still a lack of understanding as to why we need to be more diverse and inclusive. Furthermore a lot of people even I know in very senior positions still don’t fully understand how this personally effects individuals. I went about asking some very special people I know to share their very personal stories and I put it together in one episode for everyone to listen to. These personal stories give you a sense of why it’s important to actually push for these Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and affirmative action. This episode will hopefully benefit all listeners and not just listeners with recruitment or human resources backgrounds.
