74: Jason Kilborn on Academic Fortitude

Jason Kilborn is a professor the at University of Illinois, Chicago School of Law. He is a leading authority on the comparative law and policy of individual insolvency. Professor Kilborn teaches bankruptcy and civil procedure, among other courses. Professor Kilborn used a redacted reference to a slur on a final exam and subsequently faced an investigation from the university and petitions calling for his removal. Thanks to help from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), Professor Kilborn reached a resolution with the university. However, he continues to fight back against academic intolerance on his campus.
