I recorded this immediately after my final class in my second cycle of the Ecourse. The discussion on that last night was great but the camaraderie we developed over the past 6 weeks is awesome. Most educational institutions teach predominantly to just two of the learning styles when there are many more. Because of how the system is configured, this practice lends itself to children being unfairly labeled and made to feel dumb or inept simply because their style may differ and they don't fit into a mold. Discovering your child's learning style is of tantamount importance, whether you are a homeschooling mom like me, or not. All children can learn, you just have to teach them the way they do. Well the July/ August aka Summer vacation is upon us. Yay!!! Many parents I am sure are grateful, having made it through another year of homeschooling but I am also pretty sure that those who were schooling at home this past year are ecstatic😂. In this episode, I share some of our plans for the vacation with you. The majority of them being very low cost options that you can replicate from the safety of your home. With restrictions still in place in many countries we've had to be extra imaginative to ensure that the days are still exciting, enriching and relaxing all at the same time. What is a biblical world view? That question is answered by our guests in today's episode. Many times homeschoolers are accused of raising their children in a bubble. Christian homeschoolers have even been accused of actually brainwashing their children with all that "religious hogwash." When you hear what many of us are about you will see that the sound values and morals that most people try to live by are in fact biblical. These values are rooted in scripture and help to mold our children to become upstanding, moral contributing members within the society we live.
