Matthew 5:13
Hey there welcome to the podcast! Hopefully you've been here before, but if you haven't we're happy you stopped by.This week we are discussing Jesus calling his disciples the "Salt of the Earth". Going on to explain that if salt loses it's taste then it is good for nothing... What exactly does that mean? What do you think of when you read this? Well this episode we discuss what our thoughts are and dive into what the meaning could be included with the context before and after this scripture was recorded. We hope you enjoy what we have to say and look into it for your own self. Take care and stay tuned for the next one!

Isaiah 33: 5-6
This is where the Lord's word is proclaimed to be just and sharper than any two edged sword. We are in the Old Testament for the first time since starting this podcast series and it couldn't be more appropriate and applicable. We were led into the book of the prophet Isaiah. Chapter 33 which we discuss to be written as a poem to the nation of Israel. In verses 5 & 6 we see Isaiah mentioning that the Lord is exalted on high. As well as the depth of His love being our stability and the treasure we find when we learn to fear God correctly. I hope all who would listen to this episode would be edified. I pray that as we are still working through uncertain times that we recognize that we can lean on the Lord our God. The times may be "uncertain" but there is one thing that is and that His love and care for us as His chosen elect children. I was really blessed by this meeting with my brothers and I hope you will be too. God Bless.

Ephesians 2:8
Good to see you again and thanks for tuning into our podcast. This is where we take a portion of God's word and begin to unpack all that is there. Expounding and conversing where the Lord would lead us. Today we had Sean lead us into Ephesians chapter 2. He brought us into talking about the grace of God. Sean's acronym for grace was, God's Riches At Christ's Expense. I believe that is such a beautiful representation of the love of God. We were lead around the word and found ourselves looking inward to discover that we deserve nothing. Everything is given through God's mercy and grace. Praise God! We could not do it alone. We weren't meant to do it alone. God's doesn't desire us to do it alone. We are His and he has a plan for each one of us who would call him Lord. Let us rejoice and be glad in Him that He who has come will come again. We must wait upon the Lord and he will direct our steps. Take time to recognize that through Him all things are possible and without Him we are lost. We are working out our faith with fear and trembling. Knowing that God's is our strength, His grace is sufficient, and were our save by grace through our faith. We hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we enjoyed making it. God Bless!

Philippians 1:12-18
Happy New Year!Glad to have you back and joining us this year.      Also, if this is your first time tuning in Welcome! If you've been here before then you know the drill, but just in case you didn't know or forgot after the Holiday season. Every other week we gather around a scripture that only one of us have been tasked with coming up with. The other members of this group come into the study blindly. In doing so we are relying on the Holy Spirit to guide the conversation. We know that God's word is living. So, we are revealed something new about a scripture every time we study it. Hence, the name out of Isaiah 28:10 "...Here a little, There a little"This week we were in the New Testament, Philippians to be exact. We see in this passage Paul in prison, one of the many times he was, writing to the church at Philippi. He is encouraging the church here and pointing out that the gospel of Christ is spreading. All of the Roman guard know of Paul and his ministry. They recognize him as a man of God. This is no accident and this is no small thing. The Lord has us right where he wants us. We see the kind of power He has here when we as servants fully submit to Him and His will. We hope you enjoy this episode and had a good time bringing in the new year. God is consistently moving towards His purpose and His glory. We are in prayer and hopeful that this year is going to be big. Thanks for sharing in it with us!

Luke 9:23-24
In this episode we have Ben bring us the "unknown" scripture this week. He revealed that the Lord had him looking into Luke chapter 9. This week's verse had a powerful message. One of sacrifice and humility. We are called in this passage to deny ourselves daily, and to lose our life for Christ name sake. These are not easy tasks to accomplish in a world full of distraction and intrigue. We see here how impactful following these instructions could be. On the other side of the coin how detrimental it is to our relationship with Jesus when we don't follow after Him. After all it is a choice. There is free will that we have as humans. However, you can see in this scripture it is clear that our Lord strongly encourages us to have the desire chasten after Him. God desires a relationship with us, but our relationship with Him is only as strong as we make it. Even though there was only 3 of us we spent some real time on this topic. We hope you enjoy this dialogue. Thanks for listening!

Hebrews 12: 1-2
In this episode we have Michael bring forward a passage that God has placed on his heart. The other three of us at the study are unaware of where in the Bible he will be referencing. We are pleasantly surprised to find him bringing us into the book of Hebrews. In this passage we are challenged by God to set aside the distractions that are around us so we can "run the race" that is set before us. We dive into what that means and how we are to move forward with this commandment from God. We hope you enjoy the commentary as we go 'round the table getting excited about the many things the Holy Spirit leads us to discuss.

Romans 12:2
Welcome to Verses Vs. VersesIn this episode we have Kevin (1 of the 4 of us) bring forward a scripture that he felt the Holy Spirit moving him to dive into further. The other 3 of us were unaware of the scripture he chose. Once the scripture was revealed to us at the beginning of the episode we began with prayer and were eager to see where the Lord would take us through discussion. Please enjoy the commentary and scripture hopping, This is our first episode, so this is as raw as it gets!
