EPISODE 22: BEHIND THE MUSTACHE WITH JOHN MILLS-MCCOIN
Welcome to episode 22 with John Mills-McCoin who you may know as the master Master of Ceromonies of everything and co-host of The HOU Show, a live, bimonthly talk/variety show you can check out on Tuesdays at the Raven Tower.  We talked with John about his craft, goals, childhood, drugs, and a bunch of other stuff in no linear way whatsoever because we were minus Emily this week:/  We drank champagne from a trashcan and then (as you can see from the above photo) Joe and I murdered Mills and Weekend at Bernies'd him around to some Montrose brunch hot spots!  So, that's what happens when Mom's gone. (Also, Mills' shout out to Gene Wilder was recorded pre-death, RIP)

EPISODE 21: DAVE MERSON HESS, DIY ANIMATION, AND RUSH PROCESS
Welcome to Episode 21 which is dedicated to talking to DIY animator, Dave Merson Hess.  In Houston, Dave has worked with Beta Theater, Bootown, Aurora Picture Show, and more.  And recently, he's been working on putting together the DIY animation film festival, Rush Process, taking place next week- August 26-28 at Aurora Picture Show. We were all kinda sleepy for this episode, but Dave has been working tirelessly on this festival so it was really cool that he came by and took the time to talk to us for a bit.  And despite our lethargy- we are all really excited about Rush Process.  Check out the website for more details and tickets and come by the festival August 26-28 to say hello and check out some great DIY animation!  There will also be a free animation "jam" on the 28th at a yet to be determined location that you may want to attend after seeing festival, because you will be inspired. And just so they're all in one place, check out these links while you listen: http://rushprocess.org http://nightheron.tv http://aurorapictureshow.org http://latenightworkclub.com (and opening and closing tunes for this episode, courtesy of Joe and Dave: http://freemusicarchive.org) Lurve yall

EPISODE 20: RAHUL RAO AND TERESA VICINANZA!
Hiya everybody, welcome to eppy 20! We were at a taping of The Stacks (shout-out) a few weeks ago and ended up meeting and talking to a very nice young man who happened to be fellow Houston podcaster, Rahul Rao.  Rahul does many different things- writes poetry, comedy, works with MicroSatan, aaaand has an awesome music podcast called Let's Compare Notes.  We talk about all of that and more and had a great time doing it. And closing out the episode, the bewitching Teresa Vicinanza of Rose Ette stopped by the house and played a couple of her own songs for us and they were beautiful. It was a pretty damn good day.  Hope yours is too!   *For the next few episodes we are sponsoring a really cool thing that is happening and trying to get you all to check it out- there is an upcoming animation festival called Rush Process happening August 26-28 at Aurora Picture Show that is going to be amazing.  Seriously, if you're listening- go.  Please visit http://rushprocess.org for tickets and more information.

EPISODE 19: I’m okay trying to make myself be okay
EPISODE 19:  We're back from our little hiatus!  For this episode we have a segment we sometimes call "The Day Jobs of Artists" with Spencer Dobbs.  As an artist, Spencer is a musician (who you can check out HERE on Bandcamp), but for a day job he tends to our dead.  Hear him talk about both. And our main guest is musician David Feil.  David, along with our very own Joe Wozny (the creator) and Spencer, is part of the Lean, Bleak concert series, the next of which will be sometime in August and will take place- somewhere.  We talk to David about his music, functionality, and lots of stuff- just listen. For this episode we are also sponsoring a really cool thing- an animation festival called Rush Process happening August 26-28 at Aurora Picture Show.  Please visit http://rushprocess.org for tickets and more information.

Episode 18: Consistency Be Damned! (or: fucked, but not uniquely fucked)
If you've ever wanted to know a tiny little bit more about us, this may be the episode for you because- no guests, just us!  We self-impose a couple of our usual segments on ourselves- a To Houston, or Not To Houston with Pete, because he has chosen Not to Houston for a bit, along with an Artists/Day Jobs segment with that eloquent motherfucker Joe.  Recent trips are discussed as well as upcoming personal projects from Emily and Joe, namely:  Lean, Bleak, a summer concert series, the first of which you can check out at HOMEcore on June 18th (clicky that link for details) AND El Bambi, a new vintage store with in-house tailor opening it's doors on July 1 at 4721 N. Main Street.
