If you've ever been hanging out with your kids and suddenly they blow up at you, slam a door, or slam their bedroom door after a frustrating conversation then you've been a victim of the minefield that is parenting. Children are human too, their emotions build up and can result in an outburst of frustration. Whether it's justified or not, we owe it to our kids to listen do our best to understand them and give them the tools to handle the complex emotions that lead to those outbursts.
