2022-04-25 Prayer
This episode goes into a bit of detail of why there's been a pause in episodes, but also where the energy of this podcast is directing itself to now. While a short episode, I feel it's important for us to remember that prayer is very much an important part of being a Christian.  Not just prayer in times of need either, but of praise and just general conversation with our Father.

We Will Never Be Perfect
Talking about perfectionism and ADHD as a Christian, and how it can impact lives and ministries. This is more raw than most episodes that have been released thus far.  Both to remind anyone that perfect is impossible, but also as a therapeutic stance to not strive for perfection but excellence. The only perfect human was Jesus Christ, and one can easily argue that's because he was also divine.  We should instead focus on being children of God, designed in His image, instead of a contorted image we see ourselves being.

Being a Godly Son
It's important to understand what each of our roles are in both the Church and our families. Each of us were given a specific purpose to fulfill. The father to instruct, the mother to nurture, the son and daughter to respect. (Eph. 5:21-33) But in this day it's easier to find people who don't know that this exists in the Bible, let alone how to apply it to this world. While I won't go into the other half of this topic, being the female side. As a male I can speak on the male-specific areas. In this episode I'll be talking about how to become a better son, whether we are 5 or 75. Just because we reach the age of maturity or adulthood doesn't exempt us from always being a son in a different regard.Scripture:- Ephesians 5:21-33- Ephesian 6:1-3- Colossians 3:20- Exodus 20:12- 2 Timothy 3:16- Proverbs 6:20

Spiritual Warfare - The Back Armor
The shield of faith helps us build bonds and protect both our front and back from attack The helmet of salvation guarded not only our skulls but our neck and shoulders Carrying the sword of the spirit is more for a defensive warning than an offensive attack Repairing our armor should always be a priority, even in battle, and we do that by prayer

Prayer for Boulder, CO
On March 22, 2021 a total of 10 people lost their lives.  Today their names were released.  Christians need to always come together in times of joy and sorrow, this being no different. While this doesn't diminish the loss of life during all the other moments in this world, if you haven't yet then let this be the moment you pray sincerely for those you may not know. This episode is a prayer for those impacted some way by the deaths of the following:Eric TalleyTralona BartkowiakSuzanne FountainTeri LeikerKevin MahoneyLynn MurrayRikki OldsNeven StanisicDenny StongJody Waters

Spiritual Warfare - Front Armor
Everyone faces spiritual warfare, but how can we be prepared? Paul instructs us in Ephesians 6:10-20 on how we can find comfort in God's grace to keep us protected through these times.  An entire book on this could easily be written, and it has more than once.  But not all content is created equal. Here we look at the first 3 articles of armor and go into detail about the significance of not only how they apply to us but why Paul gave them the attributes he did.

Am I Wrong to Seek Help?
Mental health and Christianity has been an interesting, if not diverse topic for a while.  This episode touches on the topic to help explore the idea that it's okay to need help outside of elders.  Even teachers of the word can need it as well. It's time we start celebrating those who are seeking to serve God as fruitfully as they can.  2020 has seen its fair share of Christians, prolific and otherwise, taking their own lives due to the stigmas.  Superman isn't real, we are all humans and we should love one another.  Remove the pedestals and give them encouragement, bathed in respect and admiration.Scripture:- Colassians 3:16-17

Am I Saved?
Our end goal is to spend eternity with God.  Satan's end goal is to keep us away from God for eternity.  Our key to the puzzle is our salvation.  But what happens when we start doubting whether we are saved or not?In this episode we address this.  Having already covered salvation being our foundation and what we should seek in a biblical church, we now wrestle with the idea of knowing we are to be with God or not.We also look at the scripture of  Ephesians 2:8-9 James 2:14-26 Acts 16:30-31 Matthew 7:21

What Makes A Church Biblical (Part 2) - The Gospel
The gospel is the foundation of not only our salvation but of the church as well. As we continue our focus on what a Biblical church is, we address what the Biblical gospel is as well.  Finding peace in knowing that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross so you don't have to suffer, and that we have an escape from the eternal separation from God we are all deserving of.Scripture: John 3:16 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

What Makes A Church Biblical (Part 1)
Looking for a new or first church?  There is definitely not a shortage of options in areas, and with the Internet existing as it does now the options are virtually endless. However, there is one key aspect to church finding that you should hold firmly to, and that it is Biblical.  While this term is used frequently for this, it can be hard to discern what this means to a non-believer or newborn Christian. In this episode we discuss the foundations of a Biblical church and things to keep aware of, along with how we can better understand what the church is about.Scripture: 1 John 4:1-3

Isolation as an Introverted Christian
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in various ways.  In this episode we explore how isolation from quarantine, while important, can also hurt us in various ways including spiritually.  While this is a personal account, and not reflective every Christian, it is a topic that can be easily overshadowed.Scripture: Matthew 18:20 (ESV), Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT)

Be Focused in Distractions
How do Christians face the struggle of keeping our attention to God in a world where everything and everyone demands our attention?  While some troubles are easier to overcome than others, they all occupy our time away from God to where we start thinking of him less and less.  When this starts happening we need to look at how this happened, and what we can do to find our way back to our Heavenly Father again.Scripture(s) read: Colossians 3:1-4, Luke 12:24, Philippians 4:4-9, Matthew 6:33

Idols Leading Astray
News recently got out that Jon Steingard denounced his faith to God.  This episode looks at the reasons he gave and how we can explore these ourselves.  We also look at the scripture in the Bible, 1 Timothy 2:8-14, speaking on ministry.  This episode will not be a deep dive into this scripture, but it is an often-quoted passage for how "oppressive" Christianity is towards women.  A future episode will look at this deeper and also explain in more detail why this is not oppressive.

Salvation As Your Foundation
Salvation how it's obtained is very important.  How we consider the way to Heaven should direct us as Christians as to where to focus our energy and time the most.  While many churches and individuals have their own unique ways of looking at this often contested matter, this episode focuses on what the Bible says about the matter. While the aim is to not force you to believe in a certain manner, we feel it is necessary to share the Biblical stance a Christian should be able to take if they want to live a life like Jesus.

Changing the Me to You
Change is often difficult to deal with, especially when it means changing yourself.  While this is a life-long adventure, always finding areas that need changed or improved, starting with yourself can see lasting effects in other areas as well.  But what does that look like as a Christian?  How can we stop thinking about ourself and instead turning the attention to God?  This episode talks about doing this in a self-reflective manner  by changing how you address the situations you'll find yourself in.
