It's been a while, but we've got a brand new episode! This episode, we jump into another talking animal family film with Disney's SUPER BUDDIES. If you're looking for a movie about talking puppies who become superheroes, this might be the best choice for you.

Episode 14 - The Buttercream Gang
Justin and Zane review the Mormon-funded feel-good family film The Buttercream Gang in this classic episode from the old Hodge Podcast archives. Justin had hyped this movie for weeks, only to be disappointed by how awful it is. But somehow, he and Zane still manage to get some laughs out of it.

Episode 13 - A Christmas Story 2
For our final Christmas 2013 episode, we bring you a new review with A Christmas Story 2. It's about as bad as you'd expect and something tells us no one will be watching this cheap direct-to-video cash-in sequel for 24 hours straight, unless they're very sadistic.

Episode 12 - A Christmas Puppy
Zane and Justin were furious when they went to watch A Christmas Puppy on Netflix and discovered that there is in fact no puppy to be found anywhere in the film. Justin takes it one step further and contacts Netflix's customer support to report this travesty on this classic Hodgepodcast Christmas episode, now archived here at Have You Seen My Childhood!

Episode 10 - Top Dog
Justin and Zane bring back another classic family film review from their old Hodgepodcast days with the Chuck Norris vehicle Top Dog. Despite being PG-13, Zane felt this movie where Chuck Norris and a dog battle a gang of evil neo-nazis was family appropriate. We'll leave you to be the judge of that.
46 minutes | Nov 23, 2013
Episode 09 - Marmaduke
This week, we take a look at the Sunday-morning-comic-strip-turned-movie MARMADUKE, which is basically a high school comedy with dogs instead of human teenagers. Despite George Lopez being in the voice cast, we're quite impressed with how seriously most of the cast took their roles in the movie. Also, we introduce the new segment "Pitch the Sequel" and introduce our new crew member, Gary. And Zane finally explains why he always wants to watch family film sequels instead of the originals.

Episode 08 - When Good Ghouls Go Bad
A classic episode of the Hodge Podcast is reborn this Halloween! We review the R.L. Stein-penned Halloween TV movie When Good Ghouls Go Bad, starring Christopher Lloyd as an undead grandfather. While Zane's coming in fresh to this spooky family film, Justin has a bit of history with the film and a story about the director, Patrick Read Johnson. Plus, we take a look at user reviews and introduce a couple new theme songs.

Episode 07 - Ghost Cat
After a bit of a hiatus, we're back with a spooky Halloween episode! We go deep into Canada's sweetheart Ellen Page's long-forgotten days of child acting in family TV movies with the often-retitled Animal Planet Original Movie Ghost Cat. Sure enough, there is a cat that happens to be a ghost in this movie, so there's that.Oh, and if you've already listened to the episode, here's that book cover we talked about:

Episode 06 - Beethoven’s 2nd
Zane and Justin review the 2nd entry into the Beethoven franchise, appropriately titled Beethoven's 2nd. In this film, Charles Grodin returns as America's favorite curmudgeon dad and has to deal with Beethoven getting freaky with another St. Bernard and making a whole litter of puppies for his family to adopt. Plus, Beethoven prevents a rape. It's all good clean family fun here this week on Have You Seen My Childhood?

Justin tricks Zane into reviewing the 1992 Pauly Shore and Brendan Fraser vehicle ENCINO MAN, where Fraser plays a frozen caveman who is unthawed by Shore and his creepy friend, played by Sean Astin. Plus, Justin and Zane discover that John Candy may be alive and well, writing reviews for ENCINO MAN on Amazon.com.

Episode 04 - Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer
In this archived episode from the old Hodge Podcast days of reviewing kids movies, Justin and Zane find that JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER might be one of the most underrated family films they've ever watched. Now, we're reposting it for you guys to enjoy to make sure that none of our listeners are having bummer summers.
54 minutes | Jul 3, 2013
Episode 03 - Underdog
Zane talked Justin into reviewing the 2007 cartoon adaptation Underdog based on one thing alone: Peter Dinklage plays the villain. But will the awesome acting power of The Dink be ruined by Jason Lee's half-caring voice over as Underdog? Tune in to find out!
52 minutes | Jun 18, 2013
Episode 02 - Good Burger
This week, we take a look at 1997's Nickelodeon original movie GOOD BURGER, starring Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson. This episode was actually the long-lost first episode of Hodge Podcast, which we've decided to re-upload for the fine folks who have tuned into this podcast!
52 minutes | Jun 6, 2013
Episode 01 - Frenemies
On the debut episode of Have You Seen My Childhood?, hosts Justin Channell and Zane Crosby learn about when friends become enemies in the Disney Channel original movie FRENEMIES. The conversation also steers toward Zane's inability to do a Bill Cosby impersonation and taco preparation. Also, this show is a spin-off of our original podcast, Hodge Podcast, at www.hodgepodcast.com, so some future episodes will be repeats of long-lost episodes from that show's archive. We just decided that having two guys in their mid-20s review G- and PG-rated movies was too good of an idea to keep on our other show and we wanted to make sure these episodes lived on, so here's the new podcast! Hope you enjoy the debut episode!
