With the historic flooding Ouachita Parish experienced last week, sporting events were the least of anyone's concerns. Many teams used their time to help others in the face of a catastrophic situation that destroyed thousands of homes across north Louisiana and claimed several lives. Sporting events elsewhere went on however, and Wossman's C.J. Jones Jr. became a local legend and an internet sensation overnight with his half court buzzer-beater to take down No. 1 Peabody and send the Cats to the Class 3A state championship game.
