The wait is finally over, well at least in about two weeks it will be. The senior elite men’s gymnastics season will kick off on Saturday January 16th at 7:30 pm cst in Texas at the Galveston Island Winter Beach Classic. This event will be the first in time since last February that the best gymnasts in the world will compete to kickoff the 2021 Olympic year.  The line-up is stacked with world team members from the United States, Canada, Jamaica, Nigeria, and Columbia. In addition to multiple national champions and world cup medalists.  On today’s show, GymnasticsVille’s Midknight Robin and Kerry Adderly interview Beach Blast Director, Jerit Pogue.

Penn State's Stephen Nedoroscik received the highest honor in college men's gymnastics was announced by the College Gymnastics Association (CGA) as the Nissen-Emery Award winner. He is the seventh gymnast in program history and the first specialist from any school to win the award.

Minnesota gymnastics head coach Mike Burns joins today’s show to talk about his program hosting "Flashback Friday" 10.0 Meet today. The Gophers will host the Washington Huskies tonight with the meet operating on a 10.0 scoring system. Burns, who is also the President of the CGA discussed the outlook of Shane Wiskus and the rest of the team.

Region 3 Director Jerit Pogues joins today’s show to continue the conversation about the pros and cons with College Gymnastics Association (CGA) changing their scoring system to a 10.0.  Pogue who is also a member of the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program Committee (JOPC) talks about the growth of the men’s program and the Elite Team Cup which will be held in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Winter Cup Challenge Thursday February 20, 2020.

The 10.0 conversion is bringing back to college men’s gymnastics. During week 4 action there were 5 perfect routines: Shane Wiskus (Minnesota), Blake Sun (Stanford), Vitaliy Guimaraes (Oklahoma), Gage Dyer (Oklahoma), Stephen Nedoroscik (Penn State). Stanford blows out Oklahoma at home and pulls in the highest team score of the season.

Kobe Bryant, an American icon whose cultural impact went far beyond the NBA, was killed along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash Sunday northwest of Los Angeles. Bryant was 41 years old.
