01/25/17 Jazz Vocalist - Allison Adams Tucker
Born in San Diego, California, multi-lingual jazz vocalist Allison Adams Tucker began singing before she could speak. Allison was raised by classically trained musical parents, and began performing in front of audiences at age 5. She studied piano, flute, violin, dance and voice from elementary school and holds a BA in Linguistics / Music Vocal Performance and an AA in Italian. Allison's vocal palette has been colored by her experience in a variety of musical genres throughout her life, from a cappella Elizabethan madrigals to punk rock to country to commercial jingles. Since 2005 Tucker has found the most natural fit to be jazz. The genre's freedom of expression and intellectual tilt were both appealing, as was its openness to absorb styles and accents from throughout the vocalist's travels. Growing up on the border with Mexico, Allison was exposed to intermingling cultures and her love for languages and world cultures also began at an early age. She has studied and sings in 6 languages besides her own, lived in Japan and Spain, and has traveled to over 15 countries. This "wanderlust" is present in the music she chooses today— with rhythms, melodies, and lyrics of Brazil, Italy, France, Latin America, Japan, and the US. "Why?", you might ask… For Allison, it's all about the human connection, and music is the universal language. Allison's debut album "Come With Me" (Allegato Music, July 2008), co-produced by jazz guitarist Peter Sprague (Dianne Reeves, David Benoit, Chick Corea, Sergio Mendes) and arranged by Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter, Hubert Laws, Earl Klugh, Patti Austin), received international acclaim, was nominated for Best Jazz Album 2009 by the San Diego Music Awards, and continues to receive airplay on radio stations in 18 countries. Allison's sophomore album "April in Paris" (Allegato Music, June 2014) celebrating songs of springtime from around the world, was recorded in Paris on UNESCO's 1st Annual International Jazz Day at the end of a 9-concert tour through Italy & France with international musicians and arrangers from five countries. Arrangers include Kamau Kenyatta, Danny Green, Emmanuel Massarotti, and Jovino Santos Neto. Allison returned to the studio for her third album "WANDERlust" (Origin Records, August 2016), this time in New York City under the direction of award-winning producer Matt Pierson (Brad Mehldau, Milton Nascimento, Joshua Redman, Jane Monheit). WANDERlust features a stunning all-star ensemble that not o

11/30/16 Heather Nation
I've been singing since I was a little girl. We are all born with a purpose, and to have been blessed with knowing what my purpose is has been a gift, even if I haven't always known it. I have pursued a career as a performing singer/songwriter for 8 years on and off. During the off time, I knew I needed it back. Whether I knew it as a fact, or as a lingering feeling, music has always called to me. In the springtime last year, I decided that I had the songs needed to make a collection worthy enough, and cohesive enough to create my first full length album. It meant so much to me to have cultivated over time a truly meant to be body of art. I knew in order to create an album of songs so important to me that I had to do it the right way, had to have all the right people, places, and products. From there we went on to create one of my most favorite bodies of work. I feel that my debut album SIRENS will be a perfect definition of what I was born into this planet to do.

09/14/16 Singer-Percussionist Debora Galan
Debora’s passion for music and her ability to sing was realized at a young age. Debora learned her first Mexican “Rancheras” singing to herself in front of the mirror as she waited for her parents to come home from work. In High School is when Debora had the chance to really show her ability when her 9th grade music teacher gave her a solo singing role in her first stage performance. It was then…a star was born! Her deep love for music has been since evident in every aspect of her life. A native of Spain, Debora inherited her love of music and singing from her grandfather and mother who both sang and performed flamenco. At age 17, Debora’s professional performing career actually started in Latin Jazz & Salsa clubs with top ranking bands and also opening for major Latin performances in Washington, D.C. Debora’s move to San Diego began her career singing gospel and contemporary Christian music. Another true-to-her-heart tribute to who she is and the love her spirit radiates. Her break into the local music scene was as a lead singer with OSM, a HOT variety band based in Carlsbad, CA. As Debora’s popularity grew, she performed with the very talented Stellar Award winning artist/producer, Kenny Smith out of Los Angeles, touring throughout CA with Kenny was an experience that only drew her passion deeper for music. Debora has taken part in multiple recording projects in a variety of genres including jazz, rap, gospel, and R&B records, and was featured on the The Hungering’s CD. She has also performed for large audiences at special events, such as the Hispanic-American festival in Adams Morgan (Washington DC), DC/LA 94 Youth for Christ Super Concert, Love Will Wait Conference w/ Miles McPherson, as well as other multiple benefit concerts. Most recently she opened for Grammy Award winning vocalist, Steve Tyrell, at the Coach House in Orange County. She has also headlined at Art Affaire in the City of Rancho Mirage, and has performed as one of the featured artists at PGA West’s Humana Challenge. Debora currently performs with her band Silk, in the San Diego area and continues to stir the hearts of her audience’s to feel the love vibrated through her music. Stay tuned for more of her journey through music as we eagerly watch her rise to the next level of expression!
