GILT TIP #10 - Ask Yourself This Question
Asking yourself the question "what does she need right now?" before jumping into being the disciplinarian can change how things play out when it comes to communicating with your daughter.Let me know on Instagram how much you enjoyed this episode! XxChariseSupport the show

GILT Tip #9 - I'm Not One of Your Friends
Was this phrase said to you when you were growing up? It certainly was said to me, more times than I care to count. In this episode, I talk about how this phrase is hurting your relationship with your daughter.Support the show

GILT Tip #6 - Stop Saying What You Didn't Get
Are you guilty of telling your daughter all of the the things you didn't have as a kid and she should be grateful for all that you have given her?NEWS FLASH: She doesn't care! It's time to really evaluate where that feeling of trying to make  them be more grateful comes from. Is the real reason that you would like them to be more grateful or is this something where you need to look within and find your own gratitude.Support the show

GILT Tip #5 - Grab Something And Wrap It
Today's tip is all about not only giving her a simple gift but wrapping it. Wrapping her gift will bring more meaning to the gift you are giving her. The gift can be something very simple that you won't necessarily have to go to the store for!Support the show

GILT Tip #1 - Simplicity
It's truly about the simple things when it comes to connecting with your daughter.  Keep it simple. No need to whip out the credit card for a mani/pedi day. Connecting with your daughter gets to be simple. I've implemented simple connection by using the 5 love languages. The 5 love languages are Physical Touch, Receiving Gifts, Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, and Acts of Service. The tips I share on a daily basis are SIMPLE and not necessarily always EASY to implement. Implementation is going to take ACTION on your part.  Keep it simple. It's about the quality of time spent. And in all that you do when connecting with your daughter make sure you remove the U in guilt and Grow In Love Together.Support the show

GILT Tip #3 - Give Her A High Five
Why do we stop giving the same enthusiasm we once gave to our daughter when she began to walk? This tip is talking about connecting by giving her a high-five with a splash of enthusiasm! I talk about keeping that same excitement you once had for her when she first learned to say "mama",  first learned to walk, and first learned her ABC's. Support the show

GILT Tip #2 - Do Something With Her
Show her some love today by helping her do something that you would normally have her do something on her own.   If she normally makes her bed, take time and help her do that. If she normally folds her laundry on her own, help her do that. If she normally cleans her room on her own, help her do that. Less focus on the fact that she KNOWS how to do the things and more focus on the opportunities to connect that can be inserted into your daily activities.  Support the show

GILT Tip #4 - Say I Love You
To connect today, forget the extra stuff and say the simple phrase, "I love you". I'm sure you say I love you but do you JUST say I love you with nothing else before or after the phrase?Connecting by saying the phrase "I love you", will help combat the feeling of people pleasing. Saying just that phrase will send the signal that YOUR love for HER is unconditional.Support the show

Let's Talk About It: Cutting
When a friend says that they are struggling with something, you stop and talk about it. Even when you don't know all of the answers, stop and talk about it.  Being comfortable with the uncomfortable. Be comfortable with no script. Be comfortable with not knowing all of the answers. Let's support each other. Use what you have and push forward. Don't wait until you have all of the pieces to begin. The piece that you are giving to that friend may be the piece that they need. You don't have to have every piece, by yourself, to succeed.  Growing In Love Together is what we do here. Don't wait, just start it. Today is the day that you need to start DOING the thing."It is not about what you did wrong but, what you can do right" -Lovely Man DeeTo be notified of all NEW episodes, make sure you subscribe! Apologizing Without Apologizing
It just grinds my gears when I don't get an ACTUAL apology. My version of an apology is the person who wronged me to sit me down, look me in my eyes, and list off all the ways that they hurt me and list all the ways they were going to change and/or make it right. Do I get that type of apology? No. In this episode I dive into WHY I crave to be seen even when my lovely man is upset. I walk through what triggers me and how I push through the triggers. So much from my childhood sticks with me now and working through that is not an easy feat but I am here for all of it.Does this episode resonate with you? Do you have triggers that you can't seem to pinpoint and YOU want to make a change TODAY my current round of the G.R.O.W. & F.L.O.W. program is for YOU.  I know what is possible. Growth, Communication, Love, and Honesty
In this episode I ask my lovely man, Dee, questions around growth and he brought so much of his knowledge and experience to the conversation.   Our journey hasn't been the easiest but, it has certainly been adventurous and I wouldn't be able to do this life that we have built without him. There is so much power in unity and I am so grateful for the unmatched unity that we share.  I hope the love and our wonderful journey in it shines through in this beautiful conversation that I enjoyed so much. I am sooooo excited to share  a piece of what our relationship, on a daily, looks like.   Because I know what is possible, I am so passionate about helping women who are emotionally exhausted find emotional strength, balance, and peace with the G.R.O.W. & F.L.O.W. method and that is why I created my 10-week program that begins on February 12th. "You Have a Good Man"
In this episode I just really wanted to talk about that common thing that my friends say to me when I let them know about something my lovely man did. I am always at a loss for words because I am unsure of what I should be saying back.I talk about why I feel he is a good man -- ME being a good woman to him. The love I have for him, the way I am with him brings that good man out. I was not always a good woman TO him and that all changed when he challenged me.My goal is to help women live from a place of empowerment, be their best self, and feel the value they truly desire. The 10-week program G.R.O.W. & F.L.O.W. is designed to do just that! CLICK HERE to enroll! The program begins February 12th. I have a special something for you when you mention that you heard about the program on my podcast! So, be sure to let me know! This program is for you if you find that you seem to be repeating the same behaviors because no one seems to be hearing you. Grief: Losing My Mom
I'm not gonna lie, when Kim Hanlon inquired about being a guest on this podcast, I was not sure if talking about grief would be a good fit for you all. When I tell you that this lovely lady is doing something amazing, I mean it! The episode is centered around grieving the loss of my mom. It seems crazy because she is actually alive but, I really learned that because she isn't around there were parts of our relationship that I needed to grieve. This episode is simply a conversation between Kim and I where we talk about dealing with grief that isn't necessarily a death. This was truly an eye opener to me about where my heart is and how I can continue to heal past these things that I have not really faced head on.Kim Hanlon is a Health Educator and advanced certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist. Resilience Building After Trauma
Resilience (noun): The capacity to recover quickly from difficultiesIn this episode I spoke with Tina Dodds about resilience building after trauma. She speaks on a major turning point in her life that turned her focus on working with busy moms to help them live more and stress less, which is something I definitely value and I know you will too.  Too many of us are taking better care of everyone else, struggling to prioritize our time, and are overwhelmed by the weight of our responsibilities.
