LinkedIn For Financial Services
An increasing number of B2B and B2C financial services companies and professionals see an unprecedented opportunity to network, educate and engage with clients and prospects on social media. Seven in 10 financial advisors are using social networks for business purposes, and nine out of 10 are using LinkedIn specifically, according to research by LinkedIn and FTI Consulting. In another study, more than half (56%) of financial professionals surveyed by American Century Investments2 in 2014 said they see significant business potential in social media, up from 44% in the same survey five years prior. According to FTI Consulting, 52% of affluent investors said they would interact with financial advisors via social media, but only 4% currently are being engaged by financial advisors online. With 73% of the 5 million “affluent investors” using LinkedIn to research investment decisions, social media has enormous potential for lead generation.
