Devotional: God Will Make Room for You
I wanted to try something new and record a devotional style show today. Each week, I host Bible study with an amazing group of women who inspire me to grow daily. Since starting this group in April, there are so many lessons I want to share that we have discovered along the way. Today's devotional is from Genesis 26:12-22. It's a passage of scripture featuring Isaac having conflicts over wells. We see how God makes room even when other people don't . That One Time I Almost Got Arrested
Every time I think about this story it makes me laugh. It’s not even the type of story I can type out to give you a lil preview. You just gotta listen to for yourself. But I can set the scene a bit..This incident happened during my first year a a high school cheerleading coach. Being a coach and mentor to teenage girl was one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life. It was so fun to talk with the girls about high school drama, relationships, college and really anything else they wanted to talk about.I truly loved coaching cheerleading which is evident by the story you’re going to listen to. My biggest takeaway from being a coach is leadership matters. What you say, how you say it and the values you live by are very important when you step into any leadership role. Here’s what you’ll learn in today’s episode: A bit about my life as a high school cheerleading coachWhy some cops named Brenda and Rhonda had me all the messed up!A few insights about the importance of good leadershipScripture Mentioned: Iron sharpens iron, just as one person sharpens another – Proverbs 27:17

That One Time Grace Saved Me
Ya’ll, this podcast has been yearssssss in the making. I had the idea to start a podcast back in 2015. I signed up for Anchor, made the graphic, and even interviewed four guests for the show. But then fear got the best of me, and I never executed on my plan. When I got the desire to start a podcast again, it was hard to push through on the idea. I waited and prayed and cried and even tried to convince myself starting a podcast was a bad idea. Then Coronavirus came on the scene. One the pandemic hit, my anxiety was through the roof! I was like God this virus is ghetto, please help me get through this because I don’t know what to do.After many prayers, God led me to start hosting a weekly Bible study with a group of friends. I had NO IDEA how this Bible study would change my life. I’m so proud of the women who continue to show up every week to grow in God’s Word and engage in the honest (and always entertaining) conversation. This group of women inspired me to speak again and share how God’s grace has shaped my life. And from those conversations, the GraceMade podcast was born.In this episode, I share my story and the journey I made to be the woman I am today. I’ll also be sharing why your story (testimony) is equally important and why it matters most. Here’s what you’ll learn in today’s episode: The importance of grace and how it changed my lifeWhy shame held me back for yearsHow to deal with shame in your own lifeResources for you:OneBloc Video – The Naked Truth (Overcoming Shame) PrayPlug Podcast – Overcoming ShameGenesis 3 – The dramatic story of Adam and Eve in The Garden
