We Call Him Father!
When you hear the word, Father, what comes to mind? We all have different pictures in our minds, different thoughts in our heads, each one influenced by what our fathers were or are like. For some of us, it would be a happy thought or picture, a special time of you and your dad together, or even of your dad together with you and your siblings. Happy times, happy thoughts. But not everybody was fortunate to grow up like that, to many, when they hear the word, Father, words like angry, abusive, distant, threatening, intimidating, silent, preoccupied, mean or absent, come to mind, because that is what your father was like, and unfortunately, it so often affects our thoughts and understanding of God, because We Call Him Father! Mark begins the new series on The Character of God, by looking at God as Father.

What Gifts do You Bring?
Christmas might be over, but the Christmas story is not, it never is. Mark looks at the rest of the Christmas story where the Magi come looking for Jesus and when they find him they give him gifts. This is one of the reasons we give gifts at Christmas. God has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit, who, when we invite him into our lives gives us gifts that we are to give away. What gifts do you have, that God has given to you? This is what Mark looks at in this sermon.

A season of Hope
Gill begins the Advent series posing a question and then leading us into it. This time of the year shapes our lives as hope is often a part of our lives as we look forward to something. What do we hope for? Sometimes there’s a chance element to our hope; I hope I get that job, I hope I pass my exams, I hope I get that Christmas present I’ve been wanting, even, I hope I win the lottery! The Bible looks at hope differently.

Transformation - Transformed by Love
Oliver continues the Transformation series. Transformation is at the core of the Church's mission - we are called to be witnesses to who Jesus is and one of the ways for us to do this is to share with people who we were before, who we are now and what a difference Jesus has made to our lives.

Transformed for Significance
Mark Visser continues the Transformation series. Too many people expect instant transformation when they meet Jesus Christ and invite Him to become their Lord and Saviour. Transformation takes time, we live in an instant society where we expect everything to do instantly available or ready, but spiritual transformation takes time especially as God is transforming us for significance.
