Get Better Treatment Acceptance by Finding Someone's Joy Point
We're taught in dentistry to find someone's pain point. But what if we focus on the joy point instead? Pain points in life and in dentistry are things you're running away from. Joy points are much more motivating and should be where all our focus is. A joy point is running towards something you like; it energizes you and it can help you. When you find something in your patients mouth that needs work, are you talking in corrective/clinical terms about fixing that bad thing? Or are you showing them the benefits of having it fixed? Having this mindset shift on how to communicate with your patients can complete change the situation for the better. Focus on their joy points rather than the pain points.

When building a dental practice, being profitable is always one of the main goals. Steve Anderson is with us today to discuss 3 steps to get you there: 1. FISTS (FICO score, Intelligent spending, Satisfy passion, Time for relationships, Savings) 2. Real Estate Broker 3. Accountable Professionals Build a solid foundation so that you can build the profitable dental practice of your dreams! In everything he does, DentalEase author Steve Anderson loves to impact others and leave a lasting legacy of improvement. For dentists, that means showing them how to renovate or construct the dental practice of their dreams, save at least ten thousand dollars in the process, and build a dental practice that is stress-free and profitable. The result of 30 years of passionate effort, the DentalEase program is Steve’s not-so-secret weapon to practice perfection, and he’s here to share his method s with the world. His singular goal is to make any dentist’s dream practice a reality. Starting his construction career in 1984, he has specialized in building dental offices since 1997 through his company Denco Dental Construction Inc. In that time he worked with over 1,000 dentists, assisting them in designing and building the dental office they have always dreamed of owning and practicing in. Anderson is the only general contractor in Arizona who is endorsed by the Arizona Dental Association. He also provides CE credits for seminars which he teaches at dental schools and special engagements. His new book, DentalEase: The Essential Guide to Creating the Stress-Free and Profitable Dental Practice of Your Dreams, is a detailed written account of his expert knowledge on the subject. The goal of this essential guide is to assist dentists in making educated decisions effortlessly and minimizing the painful (and expensive) lessons many experience. Steve knows how to create a dream dental practice from the ground up, literally, so dentists can achieve their goal in their practice that fits their vision. He knows first-hand how hard it is for dentists to figure out where to start or how to build the practice they envision on their own. Dentists have found the guide they’ve been looking for, calling DentalEase, “An incredible encyclopedia on how to attain success.” dreamdentalpractice.net

Why and How to Let Someone Go
As soon as you begin to wonder if someone is a fit, they're probably not. When you keep someone who's a heroic jerk (Really productive but bad team member), that person is bringing everybody else's productivity down. And what message are you communicating to your team, practice, customers, by doing that? As Maya Angelou once said, "when people show you who they are, believe them."

Secrets of Building a High Performance (Self-Accountable) Culture
"Consistency creates miracles and trust is the root of all of it", says Wayne Mullins on today's podcast. We are talking about the secrets of building a high performance (self-accountable) culture and here are 3 points made in today's episode with Wayne: 1. Look in the mirror- if you don't like what you see in your business, look in the mirror to see what you are doing. Chaos is not in our business, it's in our heads. 2. Develop trust not suspicion. 3. Implicit vs. explicit. All to often, we assume we are being very explicit and very clear in our communication when chances are good that we are not. Wayne Mullins is the Founder of Ugly Mug Marketing. which he started 11 years ago out of a coffee shop. While making his clients more profitable is an easy motivator, Wayne is also driven by creating value for his clients beyond just the dollars and cents. He is passionate about building a team at Ugly Mug Marketing that isn’t focused on checking off items on to-do lists, or winning design awards, but instead, on getting results for their clients. Through his blog, books, and training programs, he directly influences more than a quarter million entrepreneurs each year.

Three Life Lessons We All Need to Hear Once in a While
Today we are discussing three life lessons we all need to hear once in awhile: 1. Abundance- You either choose a world of abundance or you choose a world of scarcity and which ever one you choose, effects every decision you make. Think abundantly and think creatively. Work relentlessly to get to your goals. 2. The mindset of cost cutting is not the right approach when hitting difficult waters in your business. Cost cutting is always a downward spiral that is based on just surviving, not on thriving. Think about revenue generation rather that cost cutting. 3. Is there anybody having success doing what I am having trouble doing? Whenever you feel like something isn't working, always ask yourself if you can find anybody else it's working for. Then, change your approach in order to change the result.
