SS 01: Hawaii and Australia

In this episode:

Where to go in February, that includes golf? Hawaii, of course.

Today’s Independent Destination-Australia

What is there to do in Australia?

Ayers Rock is in the outback and the closest city nearby is far away, in Alice Springs.

Cairns is where you find the Great Barrier Reef.

The Gold Coast is a destination worth seeing.

Lone Pine Sanctuary has the koalas you can hold.

Few Aussies have traveled all over their country.

There are not as many airlines in this country.

Chinese food is outstanding here.

Don’t miss the Sydney Opera House.

The taverns may not be open on Sundays, so check in advance.

Kookaburra are really here.

My mistakes: Don’t lose your telephone in a foreign country, here’s what happened to me. And don’t get stuck on a chairlift in a snow storm.

Staying healthy is one of the most important things you do when you travel independently.

Check with the US State Department for vaccines.

Be careful about the food and beverages.
