Episode 031 - Tony Whatley (the Sidehustle Millionaire)
In this episode, the Sidehustle Millionaire himself, Tony Whatley, shares incredible perspective about the producer vs. consumer mindset, thinking in the context of setting milestones instead of only setting goals, how he overcome and transformed into the fittest version of himself, how to be a servant leader, and how to focus, learn, and bring incredible value in whatever situation you may find yourself.  Tony is a business coach, best-selling author, speaker, podcast host, serial entrepreneur, community creator, leader, fitness enthusiast, car fanatic… basically… to sum it all up he is 365 Driven, and yes, that’s driven 365 days a year, which includes weekends. I can speak from experience that Tony is a servant leader, and I have loved the opportunity to learn from him as a founding member of his 365 Driven Society. Episode 030 - Anthony Bass (Big League Mindset)
Earlier this week I posted the poem “Be the Best of Whatever You Are” – by Douglas Malloch This poem especially stuck with me because of this line: “If you can't be a muskie then just be a bass-- But the liveliest bass in the lake!” On this week’s episode of GLE, we bring you the “liveliest Bass in the lake”, Anthony Bass, from the Toronto Blue Jays. Anthony is a great friend and former roommate who I had the opportunity to bull pen catch for back in 2008, the year he was drafted 5th round to the San Diego Padres. He has made an impactful major league career, bringing big value to several major league organizations (Padres, Astros, Rangers, Cubs, Mariners, Blue Jays), winning a championship with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters over in Japan, and is currently enjoying playing for Toronto and up for free agency. Anthony drops some huge plates of knowledge and shares some invaluable mindset about his confidence in his abilities being built though his biggest failures and stepping up to lead when the situation calls for it. Find Anthony on Instagram: @anthonyebass Find Anthony on Twitter: @anthonybass52 “I never really allowed my surroundings to get in the way of my job, my mission…” “When watching someone in my field of work have success, I want to learn from the best.” “I trust my abilities, but when I do have success, I write down what I did to have success.” “I really learned to trust myself from failing at the highest level.” “When I was younger, I didn’t have that in me, that knowledge and knowing how good I am until I got to the highest level and got beat up.” “Live up life, go explore…, and… do whatever you love to do.” If you enjoyed today’s show, give it a 5-star rating, follow/subscribe, and head on over to GoLeadEverything.com to learn more about the Go Lead Everything movement. "Writing is formalized thinking." - Jordan Peterson  We read a lot, but many of us neglect to write, write our thoughts, write our goals, write our plans and strategies.  Then sometimes even after it has been written down we neglect to simply run the play.  Go forth leaders, write it and run it... Episode 025 - Bad Metaphors
This episode focuses on the importance of mindset and a true foundation when learning, growing, and trying new things.  If a comedian doesn't set up the premise right, then the joke won't work. It is the same for every person as they learn new ideas.  If their existing premise and foundational mindset is not ready to receive the new information, the person will not get it, will not know what to do with it, and may even have a wrong understanding of the idea.  Many speak about the significance of storytelling in helping us learn, and if you have a wrong premise, then the story you are comparing to may be a bad metaphor for comparing the new information, and you may misunderstand the idea entirely.  Focus heavy on building the right mindset, and prepare yourself for the rest of your goals to fall into place in God's good time.   If you enjoyed today’s show, give it a 5-star rating, follow/subscribe, and head on over to GoLeadEverything.com to learn more about the Go Lead Everything movement.
