Episode 11: Laura Harris' Story (COVID-19 & Cricket)
This special episode was actually requested by you guys! When I asked who you wanted to hear from, a number of you mentioned nurses and doctors who are working during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, I have a team mate who ticks all the boxes.Laura Harris is not only a destructive batter for the Brisbane Heat, but she also works on the front line in our healthcare system. Laura is a nurse in the emergency department and has worked in the hospital's coronavirus clinic over the last couple of months. She gives us an insight as to how our healthcare workers are holding up during this pandemic, and her outlook on the whole situation. She also tells us about what it's like to juggle shift work and playing at the elite level (and this is something I've always been in awe of). I really hope you enjoy this one. Please send some love to Laura and any other healthcare workers you know - we are all so grateful for what they're doing to keep us safe.
