Chien-Shiung Wu, also known as the First Lady of Physics, was a scientific powerhouse. She worked for the Manhattan Project, lectured across the US at various universities and even contributed to Nobel Prize winning work (although she wasn't honoured for her contributions). Clara Zetkin was a socialist and later communist activist, concentrating on the emancipation of women and the working class. She was instrumental in the creation of International Women's Day, and was even the one to set the date that we still use today!
