After a life induced hiatus, Ginge and the Fat Man are back to do what they do best ... a show about essentially nothing. We talk about the latest controversy surrounding the National Anthem, then swerve away from politics to take about random stuff.

This week on Tapping the Wire, we dive into Episode 2 as The Wire begins to setup more of the story. We discuss the major events of the episode, some of the themes developing, and the continued growth of the show's incredible characters. And we anxiously await the full arrival of Omar. Our newest podcast project is here as we dive head first into The Wire, aka. the greatest TV show ever made. We discuss some background about the show, and work through Episode 1 of the series as we begin to build the world of the show.

We're back with a slightly shorter show, as we'll be debuting a second podcast later this week dedicated to The Wire. Until then, enjoy Scott's opinions about The Killing Joke movie and Suicide Squad, two films he saw, that Ginge refuses to see. There's some debate and disagreement, but that's a good thing. We also make a few jokes and act like nerds, which is always a good thing.

With the release of the latest Star Trek film, we decided to dedicate a show to one of the greatest sci-fi creations of all time. For anyone concerned with spoilers for Star Trek Beyond, we avoided them as best we could, and I think we did a very good job. That said, if you're concerned about learning anything about the film, maybe wait to listen until after you see it. We spend more time though talking about the history of Star Trek, or at least, out memories of it and how we experienced it. We discuss the TV shows, the various films, and it's place in pop culture. There's also a short discussion of why it's perfectly fine to love Star Trek and Star Wars.

This week, we talk all things San Diego Comic-Con, providing some nerdish reactions to the plethora of new trailers and news that have came out of the annual festival turned news dump. We talk about the new trailers for Justice League and Wonder Woman, and touch on a variety of TV topics including American Gods, Walking Dead and more. We also dive into the controversy surrounding DC's animated The Killing Joke, a project that sounds more and more like a really terrible idea that has made a questionable story into an absolutely disgusting disaster. It's a nerdy podcast, but it's fun. Enjoy the show!

After a bit of a delay, we're back for another episode of the best podcast that most people don't listen to. On this edition, we talk about the Pokemon Go craze that's sweeping the nation. As neither of us are against it, we think it's generally a good and fun thing, but that doesn't stop us from asking important questions about Pokemon. We also spend a few minutes talking about Batman vs. Superman, which Ginge was completely unimpressed by. He offers up his thoughts about what was wrong with the film Basically it's another fantastic Ginge and the Fat Man Show!

Ginge traveled to central Kansas for family stuff and returns with some stories, including how he found the Apollo 13 command capsule at a museum he never knew existed. He also ate at a Mennonite restaurant ... which was fun. We received a wonderful review from Wes on iTunes, so of course we read it and then proceeded to provided him with a significant amount of unsolicited life advice as he moves from college life to the real world. We share romance tips, lifestyle tips and pretty much everything else that comes to mind. The boys also dive in to a review of the latest season of Game of Thrones, discussing some of their favorite moments, the bad ass arrival of ass-kicking misandry in Westeros, and other stuff. If you've not seen the entire season, be warned, there are spoilers galore. There's also a story about an opossum invading Scott's home through the toilet. You won't want to miss that.

In the wake of some tweets from Ginge, a listener asked why has he lost his passion for the sport of soccer. It's a good question, and it deserved an answer. So on this week's show, we dive into this topic and discuss what has caused Ginge to go from a soccer loving fanatic, to barely being able to watch a match. It's an interesting discussion, and it's probably going to ruffle some feathers, but such is life. We also have some microphone problems, talks about shoes, Breaking Bad and some other topics. Be sure to stick around for the end as well for a hot sports opinion from the Ginge about pro/rel in the US.

In this edition of Winning Ugly Radio Masterpiece Theater we revisit our 100th episode. It was the first time we did the show live, and it was as much of a celebration of what we'd accomplished as anything else. The Ginge is joined on the panel by Brian Bentley and Jared DuBois, with special guest Hullbird on the couch. Sadly, the original uncut and unedited recording of the episode has been lost to time, so we can only present the edited version that was fit for publishing on CSRN. It's still great, but if anyone out there as the uncut version, let us know! So sit back, light a cigar, drink some scotch, and enjoy the latest edition of Winning Ugly Masterpiece Theater.

Another week, another exciting edition of Ginge and the Fat Man. On this edition of the show we briefly talk about Ginge getting to see Pentagon, Jr. at an indie wrestling show, before moving on to very important topics like the re-release of the 100th episode of Winning Ugly Radio. We also manage to go off on an extended tangent discussing various television shows, and associated topics. Also, the Fat Man recorded the show shirtless. So there's that.

After a brief break to recharge the batteries, we're back with another edition of the greatest podcast that nobody really listens to. On this edition of Ginge and the Fat Man, we talk about the USMNT's loss to Colombia, and Ginge finally airs the reasons behind his well known dislike for American Outlaws. The show is briefly interrupted by a "pussy fight", we talk about the impact of Muhammed Ali in the wake of his death, why Sudden Victory is stupid, and Scott tells us about his need to deal with swamp ass. Another show already? Yep, that's just how much we love you ... or something. Ginge and the Fat Man return again to spend some quality time with one our favorite people, Mark Villa. Mark is a unique personality who has spent years working around Hollywood and the LA area, behind the scenes in film, music and more. Needless to say, he has some stories. So we invited Mark on the show to tell some stories, find out why he's always so angry at the LA Galaxy front office, and to understand his love of llamas.

We are back for a special edition of Ginge and the Fat Man as we welcome old friend Josh Guesman on the show. As per usual when we talk to Josh, an audio key party breaks out, and nonsense ensues. There's laughs, there's deep thoughts, it's a really great show. We discuss the toll podcasting takes on people's lives, tell some stories, try to get Josh to admit he's planning every element of his upcoming wedding and much more. It's a trip down memory lane with good 'ol Joshy. Oh, and we play a song from Josh's demo tape too.

Another edition of Ginge and the Fat Man finds our heroes flummoxed by the scourge of Twitter impersonators ... actually, we think they're great. What we don't think is great is the soccer communities self-assigned Twitter Cops who feel the the need to police the behavior of everyone on the service that talks about American soccer. We've discussed this issue before, but we dive in again with a more specific angle. We also receive an astonishing phone call right at the beginning of the show from the most unlikely of callers. We spend a couple minutes talking about Captain America: Civil War, doing our best to avoid spoilers and geek out over the new Voltron series.

At long last, it's the return of Winning Ugly Radio ... sort of. While we're not bringing the show back for new episodes, we do have an entire archive of fantastic material that we can re-release for your enjoyment. If you've never heard Winning Ugly before, we think you're in for a treat. If you listened during the show's original run, then it's time to remember why you loved it so much. While our New York episode didn't get quite as planned, we still talk about the city and Ginge's upcoming trip. We learned about Ginge crying about gypsies, why he should eat a dirty water dog and plenty more. There's also the little issue of a Twitter "rant" about a certain writer from SI to discuss.

We're back and we promise we're going to talk about less wrestling this week. There's still wrestling talk, but not the whole show. Instead, we dive into some news from around the soccer media and offer our judgmental feelings about the general state of things in the US when it comes to soccer coverage.
