The Tuskegee Syphilis Study
Today Pati presents the case of The Tuskegee Syphilis Study. The experiment began in 1932, at a time when there was no known treatment for syphilis. After being recruited by the promise of free medical care, 600 African American men were enrolled in the project. However, unbeknown to them, they were to be treated as little more than lab rats in this completely unethical and deplorable 'study'. This is a truly shocking case.

Cropsey - The Boogeyman Of Staten Island
This week Emily brings us another Urbanuary Legend. This time, the case of Cropsey. Cropsey was an Urban Legend set on New Yorks' Staten Island; the quintessential cautionary Boogeyman tale of children going missing if they misbehaved or wandered off from their parents. No one really put much stock in it until children really did start going missing in the 70's and 80's. Staten Island had its own real-life Boogeyman, and his name was Andre Rand.
