GEN 009 - How to Build Muscle & Get Stacked Pt 2 (Outside the Gym)
Wow I'm blown away by all the feedback we got from last week's episode on how to build muscle inside the gym. If you haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet, then I no worries... You see what all the hype is about HERE. But what you do in the gym is only part of the equation if you really want to pack on some size and get Stacked. What's even worse, is that isn't even the biggest part of the equation when it comes to getting them gains. If you train 2-3x week for 60-120 minutes each time that is only 2 - 6 hours out of a possible 168 each week, so don't get so caught up in only what happens inside the gym and make sure what you are doing outside the gym is correct so you maximize your results. In this episode you will learn: * The top 2 things you need to focus on to maximize results * Quality muscle building nutritional advice that is easy to follow and works * DC's insane 13,000 calorie daily diet that he did to jump start his muscle building * The one muscle building meal that only the most dedicated will try We definitely hope you enjoy this episode and it helps you get on track if you are looking to put on some muscle. As usual, if you feel that you got something from this episode, then please share it by using the following link.  Please share this with some friends or training partners who you know want to put on size, or just drop the link on your Facebook or Twitter so others can check it out. We enjoy providing quality information that helps you guys avoid confusion, junk, and crap out there and the more that listen, the more feedback we receive so we know what to talk about. Or if you really enjoyed the episode and don't mind taking 30-60 seconds out of your day we would truly appreciate a review and/or rating on iTunes or Stitcher.  This helps us out tremendously as well. Question of the Day: Are you going to try the 70's Texas Powerlifter Shake? If so be sure to post below in the comments so Coach Jared and I know if we need to prepare ourselves. GEN 006 - Think About the Body and Not Just the Problem
We received some awesome feedback from last week's podcast (which you can check out HERE) covering issues with squatting and how improve that exercise. This week, we are going a little more in depth on how you should think about the human body both in terms of training and also in terms of treating injuries or nagging issues that arise for anyone who trains hard. Too often we worry about the lack of results a a specific body part is getting, or focus on a nagging issue instead of looking at the body as a whole to see why certain things might be happening. Learn how to view the body in a different manner to make sure you are constantly taking care of your nagging issues or injuries that pop up and never plateau in your training. In this episode we give you: * How to treat nagging injuries by looking at the entire body * A new way to think about working out that will guarantee better results and keep you healthier Check it out by clicking on one of the links below and as always please share it if you feel it could benefit someone else who might be having problems with in their training. Question of the Day: What specific issues or nagging injuries do you suffer from? Please let me know in the comments. GEN 004 - Do You Even Need a Training Program
Are you one of the people who finds themselves never getting results in the gym and your training no matter what program you are following? If so then you need to check out this weeks podcast episode where we discuss how important your training program really is based on your goals, and why some people can follow the best program and still never see any results. If you think back to the strongman, bodybuilders, or lifters of old and how they were with the muscles to show it, did they follow a specialized program?   No... They put in hard work consistently, listened to their bodies, and paid attention to how the exercises and movements felt. Check out the episode on either Stitcher or iTunes below and find out how to make sure you are getting results in your training, no matter what program you follow. Comment below if you have any feedback, comments, questions, or suggestions on future podcast topics you would like for us to do. GEN 003 - Our Biggest Coaching Influences
"Knowledge has to be improved, challenged, and increased constantly, or it vanishes" - Peter Drucker I don't think there is a quote that is more fitting in the training world than the one above. In our first podcast episode, after a lengthy introduction for Coach Jared (toe) and myself (DC), we talked about just how important it is to diversify your knowledge especially if you want to be successful in your training or the training of others. But where do we go as coaches to continue to learn and increase our knowledge? In today's Genesis Strength Faction Podcast we discuss the coaches who had the biggest influence in our training as well as who we continue to learn from so everyone we work with gets the best training possible. Check it out and be sure to comment below if you have any feedback, comments, questions, or suggestions on future podcast topics you would like for us to do. GEN 002 -Why Athletes in the Past Were More Athletic Than Today
Where have all the athletes gone... I know there are some freaky athletes playing at the highest levels of sports right now, but in general where have all the athletes gone? I remember back to when I was playing high school football, baseball, and running track, and the guys I played with and went up against in general were some of the best athletes I've ever been around. I'm not talking about just the one or two who went on to play NCAA Division 1 or even professional sports, but just the above average athlete who played sports. There used to be way better athletes across the board and in this episode of the Genesis Strength Faction Podcast, Coach Jared (Toe) and DC discuss why that is. So give it a listen and comment below if you have any feedback, questions, or have anything you would like for us to talk about in future episodes. Also we are now up on iTunes and Stitcher so if you prefer to listen there, just click on the graphic below, and please subscribe and rate the podcast if you get a chance.

GEN 001 - Introduction and Diversifying Your Knowledge
DC here and it's been quite a while since we've updated the Genesis Strength Faction blog, but that doesn't mean we haven't been working by any means. Myself and Genesis Fitness & Performance's Head Strength & Conditioning/Sports Performance Coach have gotten together to put together weekly podcasts for you guys. Below is episode 1 where we introduce ourselves, our backgrounds, and talk some about why a coach, personal trainer, or really anyone looking to maximize their results in their training should diversify their knowledge. I know this first episode isn't polished or perfect by any means, so if you have any feedback, questions, or just want to say how much you hated it and we should stop podcasts after only just one, please comment below.
