Episode 59 - Frank Bruni and Kasha Davis
By all accounts, Frank Bruni has enjoyed an illustrious career. From covering the first George W. Bush White House for the New York Times, to serving as the paper’s Rome Bureau chief and later its restaurant critic, he has mastered his writer’s voice and established himself as one of the most influential journalists in U.S.
But when the Times appointed Frank its newest Op-Ed columnist, word spread quickly that he was the first openly gay person to ever hold that position. He joins us this week to talk about what that means to him and shares some of his insights on other news shaping our nation. Frank also chats about his deeply personal memoir and New York Times best seller, Born Round.
Of course, since it’s Gay Sunday Brunch, we have to squeeze in more than our share of fabulous fun! Joining us this week is International Housewife Celebrity, Kasha Davis. With a little help from the kitchen cupboard, and a few morning mimosas, she steps into the co-host spot as only a queen can. Our good friends Dan, Chris and Jason are also at this week's brunch table and join in on the fun.
You’ll love Jim and Kasha’s chat on current events - and be sure to check out their take on this week’s Grindr Guy! Trust us, you don’t want to miss it.
If all that isn’t enough, M.E. Grant is our featured artist in Singers and Storytellers this week. He’s a gifted artist who blends modern hip-hop with NYC performance art to create a style and sound all his own. He joins us with his song “Silhouette.” Be sure to check out the video!
