28 days ago I set myself the challenge of making money from a brand new online business. Today my four-week challenge is over, and I’m excited to tell you that (in my opinion) the project has been a huge success.

15 days ago I announced the start of a 30-day challenge where I would attempt to make money with an online business, from scratch. We’re already past the half way mark now, so let me address the topic I know you’re most interested in: Have I made any money?

Today I’m embarking on a journey that is honestly a little scary: I’m going to build an online business from scratch and attempt to make money with it within 30 days.

Last week I introduced the online business model which changed my life. If you missed the post, the two primary methods I follow to make a living online are offering SEO services for companies around the world and ranking websites for relevant industries then renting them out to businesses in that space.

2015 was the first year that my business – owned 50/50 with my business partner ‘Diggy’ – generated more than $1 million in revenue. $1.4M to be specific. It felt weird to look at our bank account that year, and it still feels weird writing about it today.

Almost 10 years ago, Brian Clark of Copyblogger fame launched an internet marketing program called Teaching Sells. I was still a teenager at the time and recall that I couldn’t justify the cost – I think it was around $297 a month for three months – but I did pick up every free PDF that Brian gave away to promote it.

They say the best website ideas are those that solve a problem or “scratch your own itch”. Today’s gap in the market showcases a real problem that myself and thousands of others have which is just begging for a solution.

Last year I wrote an article about how four numbers could send you millions of visitors from Google in 2016. Despite the ambitious headline, it wasn’t clickbait. The tactic I shared genuinely sent me tens of thousands of extra search visitors, was used by some to build $10,000/m online businesses (from scratch) and was shared on social media more than 4,000 times.

Today I'm going to share the true reason why I'll be spending more time on Gaps than ViperChill in 2017, exactly *why* I started the website, the content marketing plan I have lined up, I'll explain the weird reason I've written so little on ViperChill and answer many of the questions I've received such as...how much did you pay for that domain name?
