We grab our Russian bear bodyguards and don our red armbands for The Red Star! This shmup/beat-em-up hybrid was a nice breath of fresh air, even if we had our grievances with it. We also reveal the results of the Resogun high score and discuss this week's rescues!

  We don our wolf suits and raid some sheep in this episode's game club! Sheep Raider is on the menu and it doesn't quite live up to Matt's nostalgia and Jason straight up hates it. We ram into doors repeatedly, trying to escape southern belle ghosts in this week's Game Rescuers! Uninvited is our first ever Game Club and boy, is it a doosy. What we rescued is in the first half, with the announcement of our first High Score competition! Listen up if you want to join in and win some prizes!

We got up early, poured out massive bowls of Fruit Loops, and plopped down in front of the TV to.....play video games? That's right, it's time to recount all those wonderful(?) games based on 80s and 90s cartoons! Quackshot, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, Sheep Raider, Pirates of Dark Water, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and much more! Also, we introduce the new Game Club and High Score segments. Going forward, after we discuss our rescues for the week, we are going to have a game club, where we play through a game and discuss it. Our first game hasn't been decided yet, but head to @gamerescuers on twitter to see when we announce it. Also, ever wanted to trounce two losers like ourselves at games? With High Score, we're doing just that. Jason and I will announce a score based game to play, and if you beat our scores, you can win prizes. We cap 2014 with our top 10 games of the year! Bravely Default, South Park, Wasteland 2, Fantasy Life, and more! We discuss what we loved this year and what made us love gaming even more.

We get together and grind out another history lesson, this time in the field of the MMO! Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Habitat, WoW, Zork, and even the return of Death Jab are all featured. It's a deep, long episode as Matt and Jason recount the various worlds they visited and how it affected them.

  When we aren't discussing what the term fantasy really means, we spend this episode talking about dragons and stuff! A mediation on the genre, what are our favorite classes and games, and why fantasy appeals to us is all discussed. Plus our finds for the week!

This week we discuss the early 90s of PC gaming! While this isn't Jason's first PC rodeo, the 90s were a formative time for Matt, experiencing many new genres that would become favorites. Adventure games, turn based strategy, FPS, and yes, shareware! X-Wing, Age of Empires, Fallout 1, Septerra Core, Wing Commander, Doom, Hexen, and much more are discussed!

After discussing games so bad they were HORRORable, we decide to actually discuss good, scary games! We talk Outlast, The Evil Within, Alone in the Dark, The Suffering, Chiller, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Phantasmagoria and more! Also, our finds for the week and some new, better audio!

In the spirit of the spooky month of October, we discuss games that are so terrible that they are HORRORible! Pun shot for the win! TMNT (NES), Hydrax, Daikatana, Cybermorph and more are discussed! Huzzah for terrible games!
