First Looks (Non-Spoiler Review) Euphoria gazes into the modern teenage experience through the lens of trauma, sex, identity. Following addict Rue’s (Zendaya) journey with her sobriety and relationship with new girl Jules (Hunter Schaffer). Relationships are an important facet of the show as power couple Nate (Jacob Elordi) and Maddy (Alexa Demie) and long-distance couple McKay (Algee Smith) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) struggle with their relationships. Shoring up the cast are Nate’s father, Cal (Eric Dane), Rue’s sister Gia (Storm Reid) and mother Leslie (Nika King), body-conscious Kat (Barbie Ferreira), and drug dealer Fezco (Angus Cloud).
