Can you learn a language from home or do I need to go and live in a foreign country? This is a question that I get asked a lot. In this episode, I share one of the best language learning tips that's helped me learn a language without travelling to a foreign country, creating a language bubble. I'm going to be talking about what a language bubble is and talking about how you can create a language bubble for yourself. I challenge you to take up this language challenge and use one of the best language hacking tips I've learnt. You can make this part of your day, and it will make your language study routine much easier and more fun without having to travel to study abroad. It will also help you with study motivation. I also talk about the importance of choosing one good self-study guide such as the popular Pimsleur, Assimil, Teach Yourself, and one fantastic resource for learning Spanish that you may not have come across yet. Aside from learning Afrikaans and Spanish, I spend my time coaching others on how to learn languages, especially to get people speaking. I help people rid the negative feelings around language learning often left over from our school days and show that it really can be fun if you approach it in the right way for you, there is no one size fits all despite what a lot of educational institutions tell us. I've always enjoyed those podcasts where I feel like I really get to know someone and for me a lot of that comes from knowing what has made them the person they are today, and so in this first  podcast episode I wanted to give an introduction to myself and how I came to be working in languages.
